Neighbours Update

19th May 2004

It’s been excitement all the way in Ramsay street this week. Things seemed to be getting better for Lou when he won lots of cash on a horse race he and Rocco had rigged. But Lou wasn’t content with that and invested it all in shares, which, unfortunately, were then frozen. A desperate Lou hightailed it out of Erinsborough, throwing his mobile phone into a bush. He decided to visit Lolly but her house was empty and then his car ran out of petrol in the middle of nowhere.

Things seemed to be getting better for Scott as it appears that Serena has a soft spot for him. But Lilijana told him that Serena was not interested. Undeterred Scott made her a collage but Serena laughed at it. Poor Scott!

Elsewhere, Karl and Gus are fighting for Izzy’s affections. After an age of denying it, Karl declared his true feelings for Izzy but Gus interrupted and warned him off. Later, Karl confronted Gus in the pub where everyone had gathered to celebrate Max and Steph’s engagement.

And Sky decided to attend the duck hunt protest to confront her mother’s killer from years ago.  She attacked the nasty man but thankfully her uncle David was on hand to keep her in order.

12th May 2004

There’s been more action in Neighbours this week than your average Bruce Willis blockbuster! Crazy Scott has been getting into all sorts of mischief. He skated behind Max’s reversing car, drank ridiculous amounts of lime-and –tobasco in the coffee shop and then nearly missed his court case. Thankfully he was found in the nick of time and it was ruled that Scott could live with Toadie if he got medical help for his ADHD.

It seemed that Toadie got carried away in the moment as he and Sindy, after weeks of will-they-won’ they, finally kissed. Elsewhere Lou appears to have gone mad. He’s still doing dodgy deals to try to get back the money he lost and even tried it on with Susan! Susan had been having a good week up to that point. She went out with Lyn and Lilijana to a jazz club. Karl was supposed to perform there but changed his mind when he saw the motley crew arrive.

And Connore has split up with Carmella. She promptly went round to Michelle’s house and started a fight but thankfully it was split up before any significant damage was done.

5th May 2004

This week has seen the return of both Michelle and Carmella from their overseas trips. The lovely ladies are after only one thing- Connor. That happy Irish chappy has cast his magical charms but he only wants Carmella after hearing about Michelle and Chuck. Michelle put on a brave face but was quite upset and brother Jack went round to have words with Connor.

Liliiana’s not having much luck either. Karl found an email that she had mistakenly sent him so there’ll be no more teenagesque antics between her and husband David over the photocopier. Karl meanwhile has bought some of the speakers that Lou has been selling in a desperate attempt to get out of his financial black hole.

And weirdo Gus is becoming cuirouser and curiouser. This week he drugged Max just as he was about to take Steph to hospital for a checkup. They narrowly avoided an accident. Gus is also trying it on with Izzy and has Summer wrapped around his little finger. On a happier note, Skye and Max have made their peace after what all turned out to be a big misunderstanding. Hurrah!

21st April 2004

It’s been an exciting few weeks in Erinsborough. Throughout this time, the all new meat-eating, booze drinking Harold has provided excellent entertainment. His inappropriate comments and wandering hands have shocked his friends and colleagues.

The Neighbours were also surprised to see Lou return from Asia. He told them that he’d come back to recover from flu but in reality the show had been a huge failure and he-she Trixie has left him.

Not so suprising is the news that Karl has moved out of the Kenedy household. He’s now living in a batchelor pad hich looks suspiciously like Libby and Drew’s old flat. Susan decided that a new image was in order so she had her hair cut and went on a shopping spree but all she seemed to buy was a collection of scarves.

And over at Max and Steph’s house, scary Gus is trying to replace Max. He’s chatted up Steph and pretended that Boyd was his son at a football match. What will he do next?

24th March 2004

The all new crazy Harold has been really going for it this week. In the coffee shop he shamelessly ogled Izzy’s chest but this was nothing compared to the events later that evening. Lou and Trixie held a leaving party at the pub and Harold took full advantage of the free punch. He ended up drinking it out of a ladle and heckling Lou during a speech.

The next morning Harold woke up with a hangover and cooked himself a massive fryup. He then visited Lou with a half-hearted apology but Trixie was having none of it. Later that day Lou and Trixie left for Asia.

Things have taken a definite downturn in Karl and Susan’s relationship. Karl made the shocking revelation that he no longer loves his wife during a counselling session. Susan was distraught but there is no way she can change his mind.

On a lighter note, the Sculley family have decided to enter a DIY reality tv show. They recorded a most amusing video as part of their application but will it swing things in their favour? And poor Toadie has realised that becoming Rocco’s lawyer may not have been such a good idea. Rocco isn’t too keen on keeping to procedures. Has Toadie bitten off more than he can chew…?

17th March 2004

Finally this week those oh so clever Neighbours have unravelled the Audrey mystery. But only when Mal Kennedy ran her over. Susan and Karl clicked immediately when they saw Audrey lying in the road. Thankfully, after a tense night at the vets, she returned to the Kennedy’s house with a bandaged leg and a lampshade.

Unfortunately this has been the only bit of joy in the Kennedy house for ages. Susan returned home from Christmas at Libby’s to a rather frosty welcome from Karl. And it doesn’t appear that things are going to get any better…

There’s more fun and games over at Harold’s house. His personality still hasn’t recovered. This week he told Trixie that she is selfish and was very rude to his old mate Lou. Skye and the rest of the family are very worried but we find it highly entertaining. Who will he pick on next?

And yet more family troubles are going on at the Sculley’s. Jack wants to become an apprentice for Joe’s building firm. He revamped an old set of drawers but Joe was very critical. Things don’t look promising but it could all have changed by next week…

10th March 2004

Well we’ve already had Harold suffering from amnesia so the Neighbours scriptwriters have now decided to give him a personality transplant following his stroke. He’s been rude to visitors at the hospital and told Lou that Trixie is a gold-digging hussy!

He also decided to leave hospital without warning and stole someone else’s attractive joggers and tshirt combo. A few hours later Harold returned to Ramsay street and nearly set the kettle on fire. But that’s not the only reason sparks are flying in the Bishop household. Sky visited sleazy photographer Chris’s studio to tell him to leave Serena alone. Serena found out and was not a happy bunny.

Another family argy-bargy has been happening at the Kennedy’s. Mal sensed that something wasn’t right between his parents and paid Karl a surprise visit. Confrontations followed regarding Izzy. Finally Karl admitted all about his problems to his shocked son.

And on a far more serious note, Summer’s relationship is not going well. After the dreadful cheese-breath kiss fiasco of last week, tensions were running high. It all came to a head at boxing practice as Declan’s insults led to summer pushing him over with the aid of a punch bag. She stormed out and he followed with a sad puppy-dog expression. Will it all be resolved? Find out next week…

3rd March 2004

Shock horror! This week has seen Ramsay Street’s oldest and wobbliest resident, Harold, having a stroke. Shortly after Lou tied the knot with Trixie, Harold collapsed in the car park. He was whisked away to Erinsborough hospital where his neighbours have been visiting him all week. But it’s not good news. Harold has become frustrated and has been rude to his visitors. He even stole another patient’s blanket!

Elsewhere in Ramsey Street, Summer has had her first kiss but it didn't go well due to her cheesy breath. Aunt Izzy was on hand to give her reassuring advice, Summer's dad Max is also having relationship problems with Steph. Steph wants kids but Max doesn't.

It's been happier news next door as Toadie and Stuart have reconciled over a couple of tinnies, hurrah, but Connor isn't too happy. Trixie told Rocco about Carmela and Connor's secret relationship. Rocco decided to send her to Italy so she decided to go into hiding at Connor's house

And Serena has also been deceiving her parents. Her modelling now involves less and less clothes. Sky is not impressed but Serena will not listen.

25th February 2004

This week has seen the climax to Ramsey Street's Christmas preparations. The whole street is lit up with romping reindeer lights and not surprisingly as this is the first Christmas they've celebrated in about 10 years.

Lilijana was ecstatic when David returned from Sydney just in time for Christmas. But a couple that are definitely not having a happy yuletide together is Karl and Susan. Susan has flown out to see Malcolm, Billy and Libby for the holidays but Karl has been left behind.

Next door but one Steph cooked a seafood buffet instead of a traditional turkey roast. Lyn was not too impressed but as Joe and Jack were busy putting out bush fires she didn't really have much choice.

And silly Serena is getting into deeper water with her modelling job. After modelling sexy underwear her photographer has now persuaded her to spend the night with him in a 5 star hotel room. But does he realise that she's still at school?

18th February 2004

It's been yet another thrilling week in Erinsborough. Steph has received the good news that she is officially in remission. But it’s not such happy news in the Kennedy household where Karl and Susan’s relationship is heading for the rocks. After Karl’s behaviour has become increasingly suspicious, Susan has come to the conclusion that he is an alcoholic. Meanwhile, Karl has confided in Izzy that he is unhappy.

Elsewhere Boyd and Skye’ relationship is back on top form. They attended the Erinsborough High formal and Skye for once, decided to conform. But evil Errin decided to give Skye’s dress an extra something. She and other meanies pushed over the portaloo that Skye was in. A distraught Skye left the party but good old Boyd followed her.

Max and Harold spent the night worrying when the two lovebirds didn’t show up until 6am. They had been for a late night dip in the local pool to remove Skye’s sewage. Tempers were frayed and Lilijana overheard Skye and Serena arguing about their nightclub shenanigans.

Thankfully, good old Lynn was on hand to give Lilijiana some practical advice. But Stuart has nobody to talk to apart from a runaway boy. He’s living in a smelly old caravan after the downfall of life mechanics. And it seems that Audrey has returned. After being reported missing by Libby and nearly getting run over by a drunken Karl, she’s now been adopted by Stuart’s new friend.

Will anyone unravel the Audrey mystery? Find out soon…

9th January 2004

Well it's a new year and a few new neighbours are moving into Ramsay Street. First Taj has moved in with the Kennedy's as his parents are moving away. He made an excellent first impression by giving teatotal Karl a bottle of wine. Then Karl ogt an attack of foot in mouth sndrome, I quote "You'll be sleeping with Libby, -er I mean in Libby's room, -erm I mean in the room next to Libby's room"!

Poor Taj. Things then got even worse when he walked in on Susan and Karl kissing in an incident similar to (but not as bad as) the one with the cornflakes. The other new residents in Ramsay street are Nina and her mother with the porn star name Trixie Tucker who haved moved into Lou's empty house. Lou has developed quite a soft spot for Trixie and has given her a regular gig at the pub.

Also making a return to the street is Sindy. She was hired as the seretary for Toadie's law firm and after a shaky start she impressed Toadie and helped him win a case using her seductive charms. Elsewhere Joe has been trying to help Summer combat the schol gossips- quite literally. He started to teach her to box but Max was having none of it.

But that has been the least of Max's worries. Boyd found Steph collapsed at he garage due to the side affects of her chemo. It brought back memories of his mother being ill and he was quite upset. Izzy was also upset as she had prepared a special tea in Steph's honour to apologise for her behaviour.

Elsewhere in Erinsborough Stuart is becoming more and more involved in Life Mechanics. He was persuaded to hold his own seminar which went well. Later in the week he bumped into someone from the first seminar he attended who revealed that he was a plant to encourage people to make large donations. Susan, Harold and Taj all tried to persuade Stuart that life mechanics was a bad idea but he wouldn't listen.

And Serena managed to persuade to Sky to sneak out to a club to see Taj. They managed to get past the bouncers who must have been blind but then got busted by an undercover cop. Serena decided to wait outside for Taj but Sky wanted to go home. On the way home Sky was followed by a creepy bloke from the club. She had to run and hide behind some dustbins to escape him, dropping her mobile in the process. Meanwhile Serena managed to get a lift back with Taj but was very disappointed when he wasn't intersted.

Will she wake up and realise that he will never like her? Or will she turn into a crazy stalker? Find out in next week's Neighbours update...

5th December 2003

It's been another exciting week in Erinsborough, filled with joy, sorrow and everything inbetween. This week definitely started on a high for Jack. Nina returned from her tour and was treated to a night at Lassiter's hotel courtesy of manager Melody. Taj, who was conveniently on room-service duty, was not impressed. The next day Taj accidentally told Nina about Jack's fling and she decided that dumping Jack was the only option.

And while on the topic of revealing the truth, Max finally found out about Steph's illness. Max told Summer and Boyd who decided to support Steph all the way. But things aren't going to be easy, especially as Steph's hair has begun to fall out and she has taken to wearing baggy jumpers. In a complete personality u-turn, Izzy told Max to be patient with Steph. But this new nice attitude was not repaid as Rev Rosie forgot her daughter's birthday. Never fear, all round good egg Harold tried to sort things out and even made Izzy a birthday cake.

Harold's generosity also saw some new faces in the street. David, Harold's son, and his family are living with Harold temporarily until they find a new house. On arrival from Perth they made Harold a little left out and David's money-minded comments didn't help at all. But after a heart to heart maybe things are on the up.

Taj and Stuart were also discussing their feelings this week at the life mechanic's seminar. After much Neolithic style screaming and chest-beating they laid themselves bare (not literally of course). Afterwards they both felt much better, possibly due to the fact that a great load had been removed from their wallets. Toadie was unimpressed.

And Susan is still unimpressed by Izzy. She's of the opinion that Izzy has a well hidden mean streak. And with one Kennedy related hoohah beginning, another is ending as Karl and Joe's feud has finally ended.

For the update on more crazy capers checkout next week's Neighbour's update.....

28th November 2003

This week our Neighbours have been revelling in revelations. Firstly Steph told all to her mum and dad about her breast cancer. Joe was angry that Karl hadn't told him. Later Karl was persuaded by Izzy to make chocolates at the coffee shop instead of going to a seminar. Karl took a sample home but lied to Susan about where they came from.

Why did he do it? Everyone watching knew he'd be caught out and he was. Susan was not a happy bunny. First she shouted at Karl and then she gave Izzy a verbal bashing. Karl was so frustrated that he opened his secret stash of whisky! Things weren't made any better for Susan when Libby announced that she was moving to Adelaide for a new job. Taj, he of the plucked eyebrows, visited Libby to say goodbye. He then decided to join Stuart at one of the life mechanic's seminars to try and sort out his feelings.

Thankfully, perhaps due to said seminar, Stuart had his forgiving hat on when Steph confessed the real reason why she quit her job at the garage. But Boyd saw them having a friendly hug and misread the whole situation. Later that night he took matters into his own hands and smashed the headlight on Steph's bike. But silly Boyd got glass in his eye and had to be taken to hospital to get it sorted out. Whilst there Max overheard the Sculley's discussion about Steph's chemo.

Meanwhile, in the compulsory comedy storylines, Harold has been agitated as Lou is winning the coffee wars. All sorts of shenanigans have ensued including stealing beans and bribery by chocolate. And Toadie has been welcomed into mobster Rocco's "family".

Will Ramsay street be turned into a mafia ghetto? Find out next week...

21stNovember 2003

Well once again the Neighbour's scriptwriters have had us on the edge of our seats all week. Steph is still refusing to tell people about her condition and doesn't want chemo. Jack and Dr Karl have tried to talk her around but with no successes. Then, whilst on a bike ride, Steph came across a car crash. Will this finally persuade her to change her mind?

Meanwhile, Steph's brother Jack has been getting the third degree from Joe about his suspicious behaviour. It's all perfectly innocent but Joe was not convinced, especially when Jack walked out during an important match of the kid's team he's been coaching.

Summer has also had some problems this week with her annoying little friends. They all fell out because of some nasty rumours about Steph but after the football match everything returned to peachy normality. It's not just her friends that have been giving Summer grief all week. She and Boyd have been struggling to cope with Max's breakup blues. Thankfully, after almost starting a fight in the pub with a rowdy customer, Max came to his senses.

Elsewhere in Ramsay street Joe organised a surprise second christening for baby Oskar as Lyn couldn't remember the first one. And during the party Lyn had a breakthrough moment when she began to have feelings for her new baby. And at the pub there was another breakthrough when godfather Rocco taught Lou how to feel the new coffee machine.

Will there be more defining moments next week? Find out in next weeks Neighbour's update.

14th November 2003

It's been a rollercoaster of a week for the whole Sculley family. After finding out that she has breast cancer, Steph first dumped Max and then quit her job, only onfiding in Jack and Libby. She then had the operation to remove the tumour but is considering not having chemotherapy as it may prevent her from having children.

Meanwhile, after several weeks of denial, Lyn has been diagnosed with post-natal depression. Joe stood by her and the Kennedy's were also very supportive.

On a lighter note, Neighbour's new comedy trio; Stuart, Toadie and Connor have been getting into all sorts of mischief. They were persuaded to model in a local fashion show but after insulting the designer they were left naked with only a sheet to cover their manhoods. They crept through Erinsborough and were just about to borrow some clothes off a washing line when their yoga-practising, tofu-eating owners caught the trio in the act. And guess what?! Connor, Stuart and tow of the girls ended up on a date, much to Connor's disgust as he got stuck with the human hyena. Later that week, after being scared by Lou's mafia boss-style business associate, Connor and Toadie persuaded Stu-pot to help them but only in return for another double date with hyena girl.

In more boy-girl type shenanigans, Boyd and Sky have finally got it together. The crazy hair pair had some will-they-won't-they moments but Boyd finally swallowed his stupid boy-pride and a happy ending is finally a possibility. And Sky's grandad, jelly belly Bishop has accepted a business proposition from manipulative cowbag Izzy Hoyland.

Will it all end in tears or will Izzy be the next in a long line of incredible Neighbours personality transplant victims? All will be revealed next weeks fabulous Neighbour's update.

24th October 2003

This week in Erinsborough has seen more highs and lows than a yo-yo competition. After several torturous weeks following Dee’s death, Toadie finally came to terms with what had happened thanks to good old Angie. After coming to his senses, Toadie apologised to Stu-pot and they had a good old matey bear hug.

But Stuart is not moving back in, he and Libby decided to rent a flat together and they moved in faster than a speeding lima. Libby’s parents were not too pleased with this decision but they kept quiet.

Elsewhere in Ramsay Street, things have been going from bad to worse for poor Steph. Convinced that something is wrong, she demanded to see a specialist. But it was not good news. The ultrasound found a lump so the specialist carried out a biopsy.

And contrary to Karl’s advice Steph decided against telling her friends and family, adding even more stress. Later that day Max’s sister arrived out of the blue (this is Neighbours after all) and it became clear that Max hadn’t even told her about Steph.

In the most amusing storyline of the week, Sky dreadlocked Boyd’s hair, much to Max’s disapproval. Still, that hair really couldn’t have got much worse.

Jack Sculley has been a very naughty boy too this week. He succumbed to the charms of the evil Edwina and then turned down Nina. But guilt got the better of him and he decided to sell one of his prized possessions to buy her a ring.

17th October 2003

This week it’s all babies, babies, babies in Erinsborough. In fact, a whole episode was dedicated to the exciting birth of baby Oscar (and if you thought that this name was chosen by someone who’d been drinking you’d be right!). Lyn went through 2 sleepless days before he popped out, surprising everyone by being a boy not a girl.

However, after the birth Lyn has not been feeling her usual cheery self. In probably the most bizarre scene in Neighbours’ history, Lyn was scene in fits of tears whilst her caring neighbours came bearing gifts. The camera angles were quite interesting to say the least. And Steph Scully is not a happy bunny either. She thinks she might have breast cancer and has been on edge ever since she discovered a lump. To make things worse her appointment overran and she missed Summer’s riding lesson. Summer was devastated and had a slanging match with Steph when they got home.

Steph and Summer later made up, just like Libby and Susan did the next day. Susan decided that she had overacted (boy she’s quick) and the Kennedy household returned to its usual happy state. But things are not quite so happy next door as Toadie, not content with the ‘accidental death’ verdict of the coroner, decided to sue Stuart.

And the crazy hair pair, Boyd and Sky, have been getting close despite Harold and Max’s attempts to dissuade them. Sky kissed Boyd and he sent her some soppy poetry but will they get together or will they carry on bickering about irony?

For and update on all of next weeks Ramsay Street rollics, listen to go… with Laura&Sian, Fridays 2 til 4 or URB.

Mid Summer Update- 11th August 2003

So far this summer it has been all go on the action front. In one of the most exciting storylines all year Darcy has been shooting down the slipper slope to disaster, fuelled by lies aplenty. After successfully splitting up Dee and Toadie, Darcy acquired a penchant for gambling and his debts mounted. He sold his property, his shares and his furniture but this was just not enough. Even stealing from Lou at the pub did not solve his problems.

Karl had recently returned from his trip to see his Aunt in the US with an inheritance of some jewellery. The Kennedys were overjoyed to hear that the jewellery was worth a fortune and began making plans. But devilish Darcy had plans of his own. He broke into the Kennedy's house stealing the jewellery and Susan's wedding rings and breaking family treasures left, right and centre.

If this wasn't bad enough, heavily pregnant Lynne had heard noises from next door and went to investigate. But in his haste to leave the scene of the rime, Darcy knocked Lynne down some steps, only checking to see that she wasn't dead before running off.

Lynne was rushed to hospital where Darcy pretended to be shocked and played the dutiful doctor role until she woke up. Lynne couldn't remember what she had seen so Darcy was safe. For the moment.

Due to the hospital tension, Joe became angry with Valda and Valda decided to leave the street with her poodles. Only Lou knew Valda's terrible secret, that she is Lynne's real mother!

Meanwhile, the police's enquiries into the theft have led them up the garden path. Circumstantial evidence points to Ruby, who has recently returned to the street, as being behind both the Kennedy and the pub robberies. She is taken in for questioning but denies having any involvement.

Then suddenly events come to a head. Lynne bumps into Darcy and remembers that he knocked her down. Also Dee goes to visit Darcy and finds Susan's wedding ring. Both go to the police. As the police are being called Darcy is having dinner at the Kennedy's. He planned to put Susan's rings back but some wine gets spilled and as Darcy pulls out a handkerchief, the rings fall onto the table. Karl and Susan are horrified and tell him to leave. Outside Darcy is caught by the police.

Although nothing could possibly top this storyline, we feel that you should be updated in some other recent Erinsborough events. After getting a regular singing gig at the pub, Nina has been headhunted by an agent. Could this be the start of something big?

After all of the rigmarole Steph and Max went through before getting together anyone would have thought there relationship would be easy in comparison. But no such luck. Boyd, still in desperate need of a haircut, is not so enamoured with Steph as his dad. This leads to a whole range of shenanigans.

Michelle has left for the states and Connor is heartbroken to hear that she has someone else. But he and Lori have been getting closer and closer, eventually sharing a kiss (the old washing up suds routine yet again).

23rd May 2003

This week in Neighbours it's been love troubles galore! Even out in the outback Steph can't stop thinking about Max with a scary canoe accident making it all worse. Back in Erinsborough, Taj is still finding it hard to be around Nina. She tried to help him when Taj's mates started a fight but this didn't help at all. Michelle is also being very cold towards Nina after Jack confessed all. How long will it be before Lori finds out?

Elsewhere, Darcy is still meddling and trying to win Dee over. He keeps making up lies to tell Dee and Toadie about each other. Toadie realised that Sindi wasn't his cup of tea but she didn't take it too well. She tried to blackmail Darcy into getting them back together so will she spill the beans about his dreadful doings?

Lori has returned back to the oh-so-happy Sculley house after her accident only to receive more bad news- her dad is back in hospital. With Michelle being dumped by Connor, Joe being irritated by Valda and Jack's secret, I'm sure that dinner at the Sculley's would be a barrel of laughs this week.

On a lighter note, vivacious Valda has transformed the pub with a Japanese theme. Lou decided that the suggestion of wearing a sumo costume was just too much and gave her the sack. But, after Max reviewed the sales figures, Lou was forced to backtrack and Valda was reinstated.

But what's on the menu for all of you ravenous Ramsay street lovers?

16th May 2003

It's all been go for Steph this week. It seemed that her heart was just not in her planned trip around Australia with Alex as she hadn't told her family and still had strong feelings for Max. However, moping Max missed his chance to tell Steph how he felt and Steph changed her mind once again and decided to go on the trip after all.

Summer, like her Dad, was upset that Steph was leaving so she skived off school to make Steph a leaving present. So Steph rode off into the outback with Alex (but only as friends), waved off by her parents and Summer. Max ran out of the house in his pjs but missed his chance again. Will he ever learn? And Steph is not the only one leaving Erinsborough. Vicar Rosie has decided to go to Papua New Guinea for 3 months.

Meanwhile, at Erinsborough High, Libby had a job interview and Taj was contemplating leaving school. He was talked out of it by Libby and Jack who finally realised that the accident wasn't Taj's fault (and about time too).

Darcy is still being as sly as a fox. He persuaded Dee to go out with him to play poker after she had seen Toadie with Sindi, and then bought her an expensive present with his ill-gotten gains. However, Dee soon put her guard back up when Harold inquired about her and Darcy's relationship.

But don't despair Neighbour's fans. Steph and Rosie may be departing from our screens but we'll still be here next week bringing you the highlights of all the Ramsay Street action.

9th May 2003

After an extra-specially long update last week, this week's is a little shorter due to the Bank Holiday. But never fear as although the quantity of Neighbours was low, our update remains of high quality.

Things have all come to a disastrous head in the Nina-Jack-Taj-Lori love square. After being dumped by Nina, Taj couldn't face school so decided to spend his day moping around by the Erinsborough swimming pool (don't ask us why). Lori decided to cheer him up but it all went horribly wrong when Lori fell into the pool during a game of catch.

She was rushed to hospital where tension mounted when Jack tried to start a fight with Taj. Jack also told Nina that they couldn't go out any more but later apologised.

Elsewhere in Ramsay Street, good old Auntie Valda seems to have become the latest agony aunt/superwoman. After giving Michelle some relationship advice, she then (quite literally) saved Lou's bacon when the chef at the pub walked out.

Things still aren't going well between Dee and Toadie but could this be about to change? Sindi knows all about Darcy's plans but will she spill the beans or will she instead chase after Toadie?

Also this week, Harold was left heartbroken after the bad reviews of his play. And Summer's plan to beat the nasty newspaper girl went pear-shaped.

How are the Neighbour's scriptwriters going to top these exciting storylines in next week's episodes?????

Find out here.........

2nd May 2003

Never fear neighbours addicts! This week it's an extra special holiday supplement about all of those exciting developments in Ramsay Street over the past month.

In the biggest story this month, Connor and Michelle decided to run away after they had a call from immigration. After planning to elope they finally came to their senses and Connor realised that nothing would be solved by running away. On return from the airport, Connor net with an immigration officer who let him off with just a warning. But Joe wasn't as forgiving and Connor was thrown out of the Sculley's house.

In another bizarre storyline, Toadie found out that Dee had been married before thanks to devious Darcy who wants Dee for himself. Toadie can't forgive Dee and she takes up Darcy's offer of his spare room.

This all came to a head at the Erinsborough Charity Ball which was a most eventful night for Jack, Lori, Nina and Taj too. Jack and Nina decided to come clean to their respective partners about their relationship but then changed their minds at the last minute and ended up spending $200 each on tickets to cover up.

And on a lighter note, Karl became convinced that there was a rat in his house. Susan played along and tricked him by cutting holes in cereal boxes and putting a plastic rat in a cupboard. Despite this, Karl continues his quest to find the elusive rodent, only to find it dead.

As many of us predicted, Libby and Stuart look like they may be getting together. After trying to deny their feelings for each other, Stuart announced that he loved her but Libby only wanted friendship (but for how much longer?)

What fate lies in store for our favourite soap characters? Find out in next week's nifty Neighbours update.

28th March 2003

This week dastardly Darcy is up to his usual dreadful deeds. After rifling through Dee's parcel, he discovers that she has been married before and calls in a private detective to track down her ex-husband. He then started dropping comments into his conversation with Toadie.

Toadie has received some good news as he is granted his qualification to become a lawyer. Toadie swallowed his pride and accepted a job offer from treacherous Tim Collins after Tim's help with the application.

Toadie's first unofficial client (and we're guessing that there's going to be a few) is Dr Karl who is caught drink-driving. After his chat to Toadie, Karl finally plucks up the courage to tell Susan that his licence may be taken away. Previously in the week Karl had been boasting to other Ramsay Street residents about his healthy new alcohol free life - can we sense an alcoholic storyline???

Little miss luckless-in-love, Steph, finally decided to tell Max how she feels about him. But, suprise-suprise, disaster strikes when it turns out that her workmate Joanne has designs on Max and warns Steph off. Later on, Max told Joanne that he didn't want a relationship with her, but the apple of his eye, Steph is oblivious to this fact and starts chatting up the pub's new muscly barman.

And this week's saintly (but slightly naive) neighbour award goes to Harold as he decides to help Ruby to overcome her gambling addiction. This is after she robbed his house, stole his money and lied to him. Vicar Rosie is not impressed by his decision, especially after Ruby complained about her to the Bishop.

Will Harold's goodness ever end?

Will Karl hit the bottle?

And will Steph finally find happiness?
