Taking all together I must say that it was a cold, rainy weekend.

Friday evening the weather was still ok and we met Annemarie and Elizabeth at Isabelles place. Now we are up to date about life of our Californian family members. Tim has a new company called ZING (www.zing.net).

Yesterday I finally made my 2005 tax report (Ufff this was hard to do as 2005 is so far away and papers got somehow lost in our house...). In the afternoon we went for family skateboarding to Lucerne. Before we really started heavy rain stoped us. We then went for a coffee an Icecream to Moevenpick Kantonalbank. At night I went to cinema to see Superman returns in Capitol 4. The original Superman was my first big screen cinema attendance back in 1978. I remember that my cousin Barbara was so kind to take me to the cinema with her car.

Today I worked on a contract in my home office. To have at least some sort of a sundays experience we all left to the Sempachersee for fishing in the afternoon. We catched about 10 Sonnenbarsche and a few perch (Egli). Maximilian at least catched one fish on his own while Yael still needed some help. We took 8 Sonnenbarsche to our home. They are in a large watertank now and will survive some days. We had to take them as it's not allowed to let them back into the lake as they are foreigners and need to be exhausted here.

Minutes ago I sent the contract for review to the customer. To do something good to me for the work, I just placed a bid on eBay for a rare copy of Iron Soldier 3 for my Samsung N504 Nuon DVD-Player. We'll see if I will be the winning bidder.

Just 15 minutes ago I've got the confirmation from my frequent fyler programme that my desired flights are confirmed.

So then: I will attend the QL show in Niagara Falls next month!

I'm happy to meet good old friends and chat on black box issues.

In a storm of QL enthusiasm I just downloaded QPC2 V3.22 and fired it up. It runs, but what should I do with it now? It's around 2 years since I QLed the last time. Did I really have forgotten how to operate my system? ;-) Working with Windows day by day makes it quite hard to operate the QL's console (SBASIC), QPAC2 and even my own tool QTop.

BTW: Is the show the place to buy QDT and get first hand support? Or is there a German version or something which is only available at JMS?

Today is the first of two Robbie Williams concerts in Switzerland. We were not able to go, but we did feel Robbie in Amsterdam this June. One reason why we were not able to attend was the mandatory info-event of Maximilians school. But this was rather boring. Teachers are somehow a special kind of humans...

I started early this morning (6am) and got the contract done by 10am.

After that we had an intensive meeting on the Client-Server infrastructure for a big retail project.

Was not able to make it today...

First school day for my son, Maximilian-Tim

Today my son Maximilian had his first school day! He was 6 years old in April and summer holiday ended yesterday. My wife Sandra and myself went with him to school this morning as all parents did. After an hour parents had to leave and kids stayed with their teacher. An hour ago Maxi told me on the phone that he had a great day! Great for him as I had an intensive day at work which is still not finished. I will start now working on the contract I should have done Yesterday...

First entry in my first Blog

Hi all

I just set up my first Blog. This is the first entry to it.

It's Sunday evening and I should work on a contract for a new project. Instead of this I'm surfing the internet and "found" my good old Angelfire-site where I set up and configured my first Blog. The hardest thing was to find the password for the site (arghhh).

So, now it's done...
