Clive Sinclair is part of Britain's pop culture!
Mood:  loud

After a few years of silence Clive Sinclair gets more and more public interest again. After last years rush on Sir Clive (BBC’s Micro Men and Electric Dreams programmes), his wedding with a former Lap dancer this spring and his 70th birthday coming soon, the appearance of the recent pop song "Clive Sinclair" by Electric Disorder proves that Sir Clive Sinclair has become a part of Britain’s pop culture.

Watch the music video of Electric Disorder's pop song "Clive Sinclair" on YouTube:

You can even buy the song on iTunes if you like.

Happy Sinclair day!
Urs

"Moon meets Mars" movie published!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Battlesphere soundtrack
Topic: Space

It’s already two weeks since the "Moon meets Mars" event which took place on Feb 24th 2010 in the Verkehrshaus Lucerne (Swiss Transport Museum). Meanwhile I found the time to review the material that I’ve shot. Finally I made a short movie out of the best pieces. My personal highlight is the scene where Edgar D. Mitchell tells us what was his most important experience flying to the moon.

To round up the movie I’ve added a copy of the referring article in the NLZ (Neue Luzerner Zeitung) daily news paper and some related images taken at NASM (National Air and Space Museum) and KSC (Kennedy Space Center) during my US trips way back in 2002 and 2004. Enjoy the movie!

Yesterday the last furniture hauling to my Lake Valley site completed the setup of my new offices. The site is now fully functional. It includes both offices and labs.

See me exhausted at my desk after a hard working and very busy day.

Happy Birthday Steve Jobs! | Meet the men on the moon...

Today Steve Jobs is celebrating his 55th birthday. As a kind of birthday present a friend of mine sent me something great to reveal. Even it's in Swedish with English subtitles take yourself 2 minutes and watch this movie:

Later on this evening I will view the movie “The Marsdreamers” and meet Edgar Mitchell who was the 6th man on the moon.

A special day for me in many aspects (past, present, future).

Tool decision made!
Topic: Work

After a full day preview last summer, a hands-on-lab using beta 2 software in January and another full day with Microsoft today, I finally decided for the tools to build the next line of applications. Here they are: VS2010, SL4, .NET4, Expression Blend, WCF RIA services, ADO.NET Entity Framework and SQL Server.
