How I got into "Rebel Wisdom"

I am a lot like Eric. I see this because, I am not understood by my peers, I get taunted on a daily basis because of my style of clothes, my intelligence. I first got into the TCM (I know Eric was not a member, he merely on occasion hung out with them.) in 7th grade. My friend, Cass, had told me about this cool group of people who are really open to people, great with tech stuff, and really laid back people. I said "Sounds like my kind of people. "

I went to meet them and now I am a member. They where not familiar with Eric at the time, not like they are now. They only knew what the media had portrayed. I had read up on Columbine and Eric just out of mere curiosity. I said to myself, "He cannot be all bad. He was somebody's baby too."

Thus hatched my ongoing sympathy for Eric. I know what its like to be pushed around, taunted, and not given a chance. I did not know Eric in life, although I wish I had. He had the courage to do what had always dreamed of- NATURAL SELECTION. He had a lot of good points, that guy. Could have been a philosopher. 

Eric is a big part of my life, if you cannot accept that part of me too then you cannot accept me. I am not going to compromise me for anyone else. If that means no friends, so be it. As REB said, "I'd sooner die than betray my own thoughts." I shouldn't have to compromise myself for anyone else. And I won't. I absolutely refuse. I share a lot of the same philosophies as Eric, he did have a great view on things.

To many people I might seem hellish, like Eric. But I too, like Eric am a person. I am someone's baby too, I have dreams, I am creative, I am artistic, but before any other that, I am a person. Unless you get to know me, you do not have the right to judge me. I hate people that are not open to others that are different to them. They give the rest of the human race a bad name.

That is what made Eric snap: Close minded people. If the jocks would have seen him as a person instead of a 'freak' Eric probably would still be alive. But we will never know. We will never know.
