I live in Rhode Island, and there actually a
place in the woods known as the Gates of Hell or something where the
ground shifts around a lot (true) and supposed paranormal activity
has happened there.

Very interesting topic. Thanks to the creator. I
read through all of those, creepy stuff. Very good
read.
There is a few in Ohio that wasn't mentioned. I forgot exactly where, but I know they are both in the Dayton area. There is a bridge called Crybaby Bridge that if you go to it at night, you can hear baby cries coming from the bottom of the bridge.
Also, there is a road called Devil's Backbone thats suppose to be haunted. It's a long curvy road surrounded by woods. If I remember correctly, there are a lot of crashes on that road, and supposivly they are caused by ghosts.

Long curvy road + crashes = it must have been ghosts!
IT'S A LONG CURVY ROAD. Aghhh, just think about it.

Anyone been to the one in Connecticut...? I live
close enough to it but haven't heard anything about it before. There
is a place called Gallows Lane where I live where it's been said
Witches were hung back in the day..however, I'm pretty sure it's
just a tale to scare the bejesus out of the kids around here. But,
my two friends camped out there one night and while walking down a
long path they saw a noticeably bright figure in the dark walking
through the woods. Also, they said they experienced plenty of weird
noises..but I speculate that is just their minds playing tricks on
them but you never
know...:-P

-Cincinnati - Satan's Hollow - Located in Blue
Ash, a suburb of Cincinnati, Satan's Hollow is and old sewer system
that used to house the infamous "alter room" in a mysteriously dry
tunnel. This is where a group of Satanists made animal sacrifices
and opened a door into hell. Female screams can be heard at night
and there have been many sightings of various apparitions, including
floating skulls and the demon YG, commonly known as the Shadow
Man.
Lol, that's about 10 minutes from my house

There's an eerie little spot in Siler City about
three hours from the North Carolina coast in Chatham County called
the "Devil's Stomping Ground."
For two hundred years, this small patch of land, located about 100 feet off a country road near Siler City Airport, has been known for odd and unexplainable phenomena. People claim it's where "the Devil plays."
This perfect little grassy spot, an oval roughly two feet wide and fifteen feet in diameter, is an area that animals shy away from. People feel a sudden urge to lock their car doors as they drive past.
Some have witnessed red glowing eyes where the circle lies.
No one can drive their car over the spot without it stalling out. And those who are foolish enough to try will likely find that their car won't start afterward.
It's said that no one has been able to spend a night on the spot. According to legend, anyone who has ever tried has found themselves outside the oval come dawn.
In October, 1998, Ethan Feinsilven, a journalist, tried for himself. He was skeptical and wanted to disprove the stories.
He went to the spot, pitched his tent and settled in for the night with his two dogs. And, indeed, he did manage to sleep in the circle the whole night, but the night was disturbing, to say the least, as he continually heard footsteps, which he described as "ghostly," and "kind of muffled."
Despite successfully spending the night on the spot, he came away from the experience certain that there was indeed something sinister at the site.
If you want to find out more, you could always try it for yourself.

Angier - Coats Park - At the park in Coats.
There is this trail. If you walk down this trail, there is some kind
of being that chases you. And if you camp there, there is a place
that if you put something there such as a tent, and try to sleep
your tent will be moved out of the way by morning. Its called " The
Devils Stomping Grounds"
I didn't do a search for the devil. I may do that later. I'm open to take suggestions on what I need to do searches on.

This topic actually intrigued me to go to some of
these places and try things. I was visiting family in Indiana and I
tried the Stairway to Hell. I walked for almost a half hour and it
took me 5 minutes to get back up. Then I tried with my flashlight on
and I reached the basement in under a minute. Freaky
stuff.
