After reading this topic, did anyone else have
the strangest urge to go to these places and play Doom in real
life?
I'll be the Marine, and you can be the dumbasses that get themselves killed every 5 seconds.
Also, as I write this, I'm trying to figure out if the dorm I live in is haunted. I think it's too old to NOT be. There's 13 floors in it (though the 13th is labeled as the 14th, old superstition). And, exactly as I was writing this, I chanced to look at my door. I lock it every time I walk in it (habit) so I have no chance of any unwelcome disturbances. I'm positive I locked it when I walked in, as I usually do, but I looked over and it's unlocked. It's very possible it just slipped my mind, and I THINK I would have heard it unlock, but then again I was playing UT 2k4 earlier, and watching AS. To put it simply, it was loud.
I'm gonna find out if this place is haunted... I get a strange vibe from it.

On the entrance ramp to state route 32 leaving
Batavia there is an access road to the left where an old car
dealership used to be follow that road to its end take a left and
follow the trail to the old chimney standing by itself in the field
this is where the church used to be 20 years ago it stood painted
red with stained glass windows it stands no more because of a bolt
of lightning burned it to the ground one night during a blood ritual
on all hallows eve this was at one time a heavy party spot to hang
around until strange and unusual things happened like floating orbs
and shrill screams ,vehicles driving up behind you that arent
really there.

How come no one's ever gone through the fifth
gate in York, Pennsylvania?
That trail is ****ing long, I would have gone the entire way but everyone wanted to turn back. Even at the entrance to the first gate you can feel a strong presence there, my best friends girlfriend said something grabbed her arm and then later something threw a rock at her and nearly hit. I myself could feel the spirts in the woods around me, one even followed me home and has been with me ever since. I really want to go and finish that trail one day, even if I have to go alone

Don't forget the one in Clifton NJ... I live
about 10 minutes away from it. It's literally known as the Gates of
Hell. Never been there myself though. It's an old sewage pipe that's
(supposedly) miles long. If I did go I think I'd take along a few
(or an angry mob... just in case) friends and some weapons, since
the town is relatively well-known for Satanists practicing
there(Actually it was a big problem years ago, not sure what
happened). Look it up in Weird NJ if you want to.

What I don't understand is, why don't people
explore these places in larger groups like say 8-10 people, and a
video camera. That way, we'll be able to prove if these are hoaks or

Wow... I never knew there were gates in Canada
now. '_'; There are a few haunted places in my city Edmonton
Alberta. The McDonald Hotel and the legislature grounds. (I've seen
the McDonald Hotel many times, but its look is perfect for a haunted
place, and some proof its probable haunting is it was made in the
1800's.)

was the tough, stoic woman who took over running the school for a
few years during the Civil War. Her ghost is said to still roam the

-Collinsville - Lebanon Rd. - Gates of Hell -
On a lonely road called Lebanon road there are a series of concrete
tunnels (gates). If you drive out there and park under any of them
and turn out your lights, the spirits will send hellhounds out to
bring back your soul. Legend around here says that if you drive
through all of the gates without driving through one twice, at the
stroke of midnight as you drive through the last gate, you will be
plucked out of the night and taken to hell.
Been through there, with friends and even in Driver's Ed. When I was with friends though, it was pretty creepy. Right as we came out from under the first, a dog darted in front of our car (This may have been coincidence, but will freakin' scary nonetheless). After a while of driving around, we decided to go back. We stopped in the road, and kept reversing and going forward until we were heading in the opposite direction. While we were doing this, there was just this white, man-shaped figure staring at us from a distant farm... Was really creepy.

Been through there, with friends and even in Driver's Ed. When I was with friends though, it was pretty creepy. Right as we came out from under the first, a dog darted in front of our car (This may have been coincidence, but will freakin' scary nonetheless). sorry for the lack of information about allen
high school. the black box theatre there (its just a black room with
the curtain and pulleys, and a control booth in a different section
with a window to the theatre) is haunted. the ghosts, if thats
indeed what they are, are usually balls of light, or small children
playing ball, with no ball. what happened was, during construction
of the high school, the two children were playing on the ground of
the black box. a pulley broke and they were crushed to death by the
beam above them. the beam was so large though, that it pushed them
underground. when the beam was lifted, there was no trace of the
children's body. the foreman had thought that they had run off, but
they were missing the next day. the construction went on, so there's
no way to tell if they were indeed crushed by the beam, or if they
just fell in the nearby creek.
