History:
Mara was born and raised in Sunset City. Her mother was a socialite from San Francisco who moved to the “country” and pretty much holds the chief socialite position, next to Maeve Seabrooke of course. Mara’s father is a wise man who stays out of his wife’s affairs, and instead concentrates on his little projects, most recently a very small woodworking business, where he “turns wood” into vases and bowls and the like. Mara grew up very close to her father, and recently was almost devastated when last year he came down with cancer. Thankfully, he came out of it fine, and with a renewed interest in life. Mara and her mother began to grow closer during her father’s illness, and actually go out and do stuff now, instead of just keep their distance with her father between then as was always done before. Mara’s father taught her all about the weather, the sea, and fostered her love for ocean adventuring (parasailing and windsurfing) when she was still a little girl. Her father and her went out for their first hang gliding adventure the first Monday of the RPG -- which was why she wasn’t in the battle at the school. All in all, she had a pretty normal childhood, nothing TOO exciting or anything. I mean, she is an only child after all.
