God My Refuge

Based on David's experiences when fleeing from King Saul to the caves of Adallum.

God Not Afar

Why must children get misled by Sunday School songs about God "looking down from the sky"? God is not out of reach. You don't have to be on top of a mountain to talk to Him. God is as close as He could possibly be... He became one of us and He resides within us. Teach that truth to the kids, please!

God's Pledge (A Wedding Song)

God has pledged to us His Holy Spirit. This song celebrates the Spirit in the context of a wedding union. Based on 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.  Can be sung by or on behalf of the bride and groom.

A Grace (Thank You God for This Our Food)

- the chorus is a grace (author unknown) recited religiously by Barbara's father, and his father before him and one which she has taught to her children, and she has added in some verses to give thanks for God's bountiful blessings to their family table

Great Southern Land

This is a dedication of our nation Australia to Christ and to praising Him. A kind of Christian national anthem! The music was originally composed by Benjamin Thorn for the song "Our Great Southern Land" - a 'de-spiritualised' version of my original song - for the musical "Then the Angels Wept". May alternatively be sung to the tune of  McCartney-Laine's Scottish folk song "Mull of Kintyre" but should be contextualised into Australian culture ... I suggest substitution of didgeridoo for bagpipes and click sticks for drums. Though I much prefer we use Benjamin Thorn's melody - which is unique and Australian. 'May every knee bow and may every hand raise this great southern land as a great nation of praise."
