Knights of Light

Into the Fire
Tell my brothers I fell facing the foe,
Tell them I fell fighting the woe.
I saw death's grim face
But still I kept my pace,
And walked into the fire.

Tell my brothers I didn't bend the knee,
Tell them that I fell still free,
That I didn't consider to surrender.
I just prayed to be with them forever
And stepped forth to expire.

Tell my brothers I walked to my death,
Tell them I fought to my last breath.
Don't let anybody say courage was my lack:
I didn't try to withdraw from the attack
And walked into the fire.

Tell my brothers I grieve for their sorrow,
Tell them I cried for them, so they'll know
That I'll be by their side always.
Tell them I won't be among the runaways
When they approach the dire.

Tell my brothers I fell facing the foe,
Tell them I fell fighting the woe.
I now wear death's cold brand
But I'll be there to take their hand
When we walk into the fire.
