I wrote Michael asking varius things abou his two cool puzzle games for NES, Dudes With Attitude and the rarer Trolls On Treasure Island. I actually wrote him numerous times, asking different things each time. You see, Michael really didn't have much to say about AVE and the games at all. But combining the varius questions/responses I asked/got into one e-mail makes quite a nice interview.

MC: I wrote "Dudes" with my daughter Cam. Glad you are still enjoying it. I keep hoping to revive the game one of these days. I am afraid the contest and the company (American Video Entertainment) are both long gone. We did make the sequel "Trolls on Treasure Island" -- quite a bit better. We got some very good levels for that one. I only have one spare copy of "Dudes" - bit of a collectors item.
