Consumer Electronics Show

For those of you who don't know it, there is always an electronics show each year, where different companies present their newest products. Now it's known as E3, but back in the day of our Nintendo, the show were named Consumer Electronics Show, or CES for short.

I never visited CES in my life, yet I know it was located in big cities such as Chicago. When you went, numerous companies had stands set up containing pamphlets, game demos, and other goodies. You know, the type of thing that would attact gamers.

{Dizzy CES Card} Codemasters and Camerica displayed multiple cool things at the CES of '92. The Aladdin Deck Enhancer was introduced, and you got one of those cool cards (featured at right) which shows Dizzy himself. On the back, it tells you a little about Codemasters and the CES. There were also a few pins given out, such as one promoting Fantastic Dizzy and another promoting the Aladdin Deck Enhancer. Cool stuff to see, cool stuff to keep.

CES '94 had its share of memorable products too. Take Active Enterprises for example. They ahd a professional stand designed by Michael Lay, packets of papers enticing you to try their games, and of course big plans for items which never made release. Active was trying to market their games towards the rental buissness.

When you went to CES, you wouldn't know what to expect. You'd leave with alot of promotional stuff, and a full knowledge of the years upcoming games. CES played a big roll in videogame sucess, as E3 does today.
