We already note some changes from the original text, with the listing of Balthamos [played by Ray Fearon], who does not appear in the books until the very end of The Subtle Knife, and the addition of Ozymandias [played by David Holt], a name that we here at Bridge Through The Aurora are sure was not part of the original text. We'll remain optimistic that the dramatizations will go well: Pullman has said that he thinks they're good, and that the books have been adapted well for radio. No doubt the results of the radio drama will be a sign of things to come regarding the movie adaptations, set to be released beginning in 2004.
