Biographies:

Son Gokuu - Son Gokuu, more commonly reffered to as Goku by the American fans, is the main character of Dragonball and Dragonball Z after it. He started as an innocent little child, and grew until he was the greatest warrior in the universe. As a child, his rival was a little bald child named Kuririn, a monk. Very quickly Goku showed himself to be the stronger of the two, and they stopped trying to top one another. The two trained with Master Roshi (Kamesennin), and fought in the Tenkachi Boudokai. Kuririn was taken out in the second round by Jackie Chun, who was really Master Roshi in disguise. Goku, however stayed in the tournament until the very end, matching against Jackie Chun. The two fought for quite a while until Goku got a look at the full moon. He turned oozaru and started destroying the ring. Jackie saw what was happening and fired a kamehameha at the full moon, utterly destroying it. Goku turned back, and the fight resumed. Jackie and the little boy fought for over eight hours, then they charged for one last time. Jackie's longer legs allowed him to knock out Goku, and take the win. Goku got the lsat laugh, however, when Roshi and him went out for dinner and Goku ate 470,000 zeni's worth of food, only leaving 30,000 for Roshi to spend.

This was the beginning of the great anime and manga known as Dragonball. The series goes on to tell of Goku's destruction of the Red Ribbon Army, destroying lots of generals and soldiers named after colors. After all this, Goku, now an older teenager, enters the Tenkachi Boudokai once again. He fights his way up the ranks, and eventually matches up against Piccolo, the son of the great Piccolo Diamaco. They fight for a while, and Piccolo very nearly beats Goku. After disappearing for a moment, someone looked up and noticed someone UP there. The whole crowd looked up and there was Goku, floating in mid-air. This is the first use of the bukujitsu technique. Goku defeats Piccolo and is crowned the champion. Piccolo walks into the sunset, vowing to beat Goku.

This was the end of the original Dragonball, and the start of Dragonball Z.

DBZ begins with the arrival of a saiya-jin named Radditsu. The man finds his brother, named Kakkarot. Kakkarot, also known as Goku. The evil saiyan tries to make Goku turn to evil and help him conquer the galaxy. Of course the good hearted Goku refused, which made Radditz mad. Radditz saw that Goku had a child, and kidnapped him. Goku met up with his rival Piccolo and the two set out to take back the saiyan's son. They attack Radditz, and are overpowered. Goku is beaten very very badly, and his son gets extremely angry. An aura of power washes over the boy, and he attacks Radditz himself, stunning the man. Goku gets up off the ground and grabs Radditz, holding him so he couldn't defend himself. Piccolo charges up his Special Beam Cannon and blasts through both the men. Seeing Goku's son's potential, he begins to train the child. That child's name was Gohan.
