Jesus introduced a special observance that the Bible calls “the Lord’s evening meal.”
(1 Corinthians 11:20; Matthew 26:26-28)
This observance is also called the Memorial of Christ’s death. Jesus instituted it to help his apostles and all true Christians after them to bear in mind that by means of his death as a perfect human, he gave his soul, or life, as a ransom sacrifice for what Adam lost.
Regarding this observance,
Jesus commanded:“Keep doing this in remembrance of
me.” (Luke 22:19)
Observing the Memorial reminds us of the great love shown by both Jehovah and Jesus in connection with the ransom sacrifice. We can show our appreciation for Jesus' sacrifice by being present at the yearly observance of the Memorial of Jesus’death.
The Memorial this year has now passed for this year but the love and gratitude for what Christ Jesus did for all obedient mankind remains always in our hearts.
The Theme Of The BIBLE
From Paradise Lost To Paradise Soon to be Regained,
By Jehovah's Kingdom Ruled By His Son Christ Jesus
In most ways Jehovah's Witnesses are like everyone else. They have normal problems—economic, physical, emotional. They make mistakes at times, for They are not perfect, inspired, or infallible. But they try to learn from their experiences and diligently study the Bible to make needed corrections. They have made a dedication to God to do his will, and they apply themselves to fulfill this dedication. In all their activities they seek guidance from God's Word and his holy spirit.
'But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it'....Psalms 37:11,29
Why Do Jehovah's Witnesses Preach?
'And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come'...Matt. 24:14
We are probably best known for our person-to- person ministry. Each congregation tries to reach all the people in its neighborhood with a brief Bible message. This is usually done by Witnesses visiting from door to door. We will also talk to people on the streets, in parks and in other public places—wherever someone can be found who has a spiritual interest and a few minutes to talk. This approach is the same as that used by Jesus Christ and his apostles. The apostle Paul, for example, said, “I did not hold back . . . from teaching you publicly and from house to house.” (Acts 20:20).
The preaching work emphasizes Jehovah's Kingdom by Christ Jesus will replace all human governments and provide solutions to all that ails mankind.(Matt: 6:9,10)
Jehovah is magnified as the only one able to rescue us from sickness and death.(Isa. 25:8 & 33:24)
