Let's hope I'm right, or else God has one hell of a spanking waiting for me. . .

Throughout the ages, man has come up with so many different philosophies and belief systems. All the great ones have had large amounts of followers. The Celts, The Greeks, The Romans, Zen Buddhists, Hare Krishnas, The Jewish, The Egyptians. Why?
How can any ONE be right when billions have followed each of them?
What if I told you they were ALL right? "Impossible!" you say? Bear with me.
Lets suppose the gods of Greek mythology actually did happen--only in another existence. In other words, we were the gods on Mt. Olympus.
Lets say witches and other aspects of the occult did all at one time exist--perhaps we wanted a world with less boundaries, but more obstacles through more power.
Perhaps Roman and Christian beliefs were the most recent world we conquered before creating this one, hence why that one belief seems to still be the most impacting after so many years. Perhaps the Bible was not the telling of this creation or the future, merely what already took place in another realm, another learning experience.
Let's hypothesize a little longer that "God" was the last existence before this one. The soul telling the main story wanted to see what it was like to have a near perfect existence, but to have one entity in control of all. Perhaps there wasn't much to learn from having everything so simple and harmonious, so we further invent the fallen angel/devil aspect. This offers conflict and "g" vs. "e" elements to our existence. So we ride that out until God wins and we progress to our next existence.
This kind of adds sense to the logic that sex is the main goal of this existence. I mean, hello! Did we not watch Dogma? Everyone knows angels are as anatomically correct as Barbie and Ken dolls!
So that's how you work religion in. Basically they're all right because they did happen, just not exactly the way we think they did in this existence. We're limiting ourselves to this time frame only, forgetting that there was a before long before us and an after even after we are all dead and rotting.

Now onto how movies, music, and books all work into this theory as well.
