The
twelve projects that we are currently running are in the fields of English
language teaching, housing construction, health care and community work: -
all projects which are a response to the need and interests of our people
and their communities. You many
choose to work with NGOs, with orphans or street children in the field of
education, help to reconstruct homes damaged or destroyed in the 2001 earth
awake, or work with the local government on good protection schemes. Each
project operates in a secure environment. You
would be expected to work between 4 and 6 hours a day depending on the
nature of the work, from Tuesday to Friday inclusive with Friday afternoon
free, this gives you
the chance to enjoy a long weekend with your friends or your new family
exploring the sights of this part of Central America. The
possibilities are endless. If you have a particular skill or profession
which you are willing to offer, contact us and we will try to provide a
placement for you. We are
interested in hearing from people aged 19 to 60, students, professionals or
retired people of any nationality providing you are either a native English
Speaker or are reasonably fluent in English. We would
expect that if you apply to go on a lifeline project, you will
be comitted to helping meet the needs of our
people and that you will be willing to pay your expenses.
