We spent most of the day Saturday getting the house ready for her to come home. We can't wait! She has been doing so well with the bottle. She has to take all of her feedings with the bottle and show that she can gain weight and we'll get to take her home!
We have passed the 100 day mark here at the NICU. The nurses and doctors have become a second family to us. They have all been so nice and we have been so appreciative with them! But I can say that we won't miss this place!
Although Ty will still be here for a while longer, we are so ready to get home! And we're so close! Please continue to pray for us and for the babies! Once we get them home we still have a long road ahead of us.
For the first year or two we have to be very careful! They will be very susceptible to any and every infection. We will have to take extraordinary precautions to ensure that we keep them healthy. We want to make sure that we spend as little time in the hospital with them as possible!
Below are some wonderful pictures of Lindsay! She is such a wonderful angel! She loves to cuddle, so feeding her can be challenging. When it's time to eat we get her out of her bed and she immediately wants to snuggle and go to sleep, so we have to try to make sure that she eat instead of snuggling. After she eats we get to snuggle and she loves it!!
You may notice that in some of the pictures we are wearing gowns and gloves. This is because the entire NICU has a restriction because of an increase in viral infections going around the hospital. So they just want to take extra precautions to make sure that no babies get sick. Please enjoy the pictures!
