She is doing really well on it too! They expected her to have a lot of spells when she went on it, but she hasn't had any!!! We are so proud of her!!
She was able to go over to visit her brother for the first time since they were born! This was amazing!! They both loved it! She stared at her brother Ty the whole time!! They just knew that they were supposed to be together!
With the cannula we can pick her up and hold her any time that we want! And we are taking advantage of this!
Now that she is on the cannula, all that she has left to do it learn how to eat. Since she has had the feeding tube she has never learned how to eat. So we are teaching her! Basically we are giving her a little milk while she sucks on her pacifier. This way she learns how to suck, swallow and breathe all at the same time! Once she learns this we will pretty much be clear to go home with her!
She will have some final tests to do but they are really simple things like sitting in a car seat and some oxygen tests. She will do fine with these tests! So we are expecting to have her home in less than a month! YEAH!!!!
This weekend she was able to visit with her Nonnie Linda, Kelsi, and Grandpa Steve.
