A4. Bio-Engineered Aliens
Deep inside a covert research laboratory, leading Alien expert Dr. Samuel Kadinsky and Weyland-Yutani bio-weapons executive Charles Gould discuss the success and brilliance of their master plan.
When they discovered your Hive a few years ago, Weyland-Yutani's interest shifted away from mining to exploiting the Aliens in its bio-weapons research program. They devised a plan to use the mining venture as a facade for this R&D effort.
Thus, thousands of migrant workers and Marines alike were deceptively enlisted to become unknowing test subjects in Kadinsky's Alien experiments.
And now the plan has borne fruit: Kadinsky has developed a new Alien strain, the K-Series.
This is a Weyland-Yutani research laboratory, and your Aliens are part of a survival test. Dr. Kadinsky has successfully developed an alternate Alien strain called the K-Series. To demonstrate the bio-weapons potential of his creation, Kadinsky has directed unknowing Marines to collect your Eggs from the field, and here he will pit them against the K-Series. There is one and only one way to survive against the new subspecies. Keep the species pure. Kill them all.
DR. KADINSKY'S LABORATORY:
BIO-ENGINEERED K-SERIES ALIENS
Objectives:
* Kill all K-Series Aliens.
Optional Objectives:
* Complete this test with a stockpile of at least 5000 Infestation Points.
Starting Forces:
* 500 Infestation Points
* 30 Eggs
Target Time: 15 minutes
You need to be quick, because very soon, the enemy Aliens will come to your Eggs and destroy them. First, hatch your six Eggs in the eastern room and send the Facehuggers north then west. To the north is a room filled with civilians. While some are being impregnated, start hatching Eggs in the main room and send them to the same location. There are more humans and two Oswocs in the rooms to the west as well. Don’t worry if you can’t save all your Eggs from the K-Series Aliens. Convert a few eggs into Praetorian Eggs if you’d like some stronger fighters. When your army is ready, move them south.
There’s no need to destroy the enemy’s Hive Nodes as you go, but you can if you want to. You have to kill all the K-Series Aliens. This should be easy enough with your current Alien force, and remember to try and get 5000 infestation points. It only tends to get frustrating if you kill their Queen and they create a new one. One Alien may manage to run off, and it can be annoying hunting it down, but otherwise it should be easy if you have around 25-30 Aliens.
