"You ready?" Zac asked her as they stood in front of the booming house.

"Yup." She said. He linked her arm with his, and they walked up the steps. It was later that day, around eight, and they had just arrived at the party; the hansons had given her a ride. The party was until twelve, and they had just arrived.

Once inside the dark, loud house, they found Nicole and a few people they knew.

"You guys look so cute together!" She exclaimed.

"Don't we though!" He yelled over the loud music. He had to admit to himself, they were goodlooking. He had his hair pulled back, and he was wearing a tight black t-shirt with khakis and boots as usual. Zac looked at Katie, who was wearing a short, black dress the tied in the back of her neck. Her hair was down and really curly, and Zac wanted to touch it, but he resisted for fear of looking like and idiot.

He smiled at her, then they made their way over to a drink table.

"Here." He said, giving her a drink that looked safe. "God knows what they're serving here." He said.

"Hey guys!" Jabin said to them.

"Hey buddy." Zac said, slapping him a high five.

"Hey Katie." Jabin said, nodding to her.

"Hi." She said shyly.

"So are you two here together?" he asked.

They looked at each other. "Uh....well...she came with me if that answeres your question." Zac said.

Katie just smiled.

"Oh." Jabin said. He smiled and elbowed his big friend. "See ya around pal."

With that, the little boy walked off to mingle.

"Well." Zac said. "That was interesting."

They made their way into the kitchen, where they chatted with people Zac knew for around an hour or so. "I'm going to go find a bathroom." Katie said.

"Okay." He said.

"Be right back."

A few minutes later, Jabin entered the kitchen.

"Hey Zac."

"What's up?"

"I got bad news."

"What? What's wrong?"

"Ians made an appearance."

"Oh no." Zac said.

"Yeah."

"Shit." Zac said.

"Dude, you could take him, easy." Jabin said.

"I know, if i can ever get him away from his friends." Zac said.

"Yeah."

"God i wanna get my hands on him." Zac said.

"That sucks."

"I know."

"Plus Katie's here."

"Yeah, i don't wanna get into a fight in front of her. Way too messy." Zac said.

"Yeah." Jabin said. "Speaking of her, where is she?" Jabin asked.

"Uh, she went to the bathroom."

"Oh."

"She's been gone awhile, i'm gonna go check on her." Zac said, feeling a slight bit nervous.

Katie walked out of the bathroom, feeling much better. She was almost to the kitchen when an arm stuck out in front of her.

"Well look who it is." Ian said.

"Oh no."

He laughed. "yeah, that's about right." He said.

"What do you want?"

"The question is, what do you want?" He asked her.

"Ian, quit playing games." She said, crossing her arms.

"Hey, i just want my share, slut." he said.

"What?"

"You heard me."

"I cannot believe you." She said.

"believe it."

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't play stupid."

"Wha-"

"I saw you and Zac after the dance. That guy was seriously pissing me off."

"At least he has some manners." Katie shot back. She was getting scared, and the music was so loud, and there were so many dancing people. No one even noticed them yelling.

"Hey, I just want my share."

"Share of what?" She asked. "What are you talking about?"

He pinned her to the wall. "You." He said quietly. His eyes drove into hers, and she felt her stomach drop. She was scared, and Zac wasn't around to help her.

Ian pulled her into the hallway, near the stairs. Katie knew she was doomed.

"NO!" She screamed. "No!" No one heard her.
