Ever since I came across your name
Many things are not the same
Time and time I've been looking in vain
And asking myself, am I too lame?

My emotions are kept at bay
Locked up inside--the key thrown away
"Get a life!", some people say
Do something different if only for a day

I'm happy now I have a friend
Who can accept me for who I am
But the challenge is to fight the trend
And to spice up this life so bland

Help unlock the emotions I fend
As I think of you as long as I can
I wish I could hold your hand
And this beginning will have no end
