For my daily driver I took a less ambitious approach. 1st I bought an 82 Trans Am with v8 and a stick for $650. It needed alot of mechanical work as just about everything on it was worn out or just plain done wrong. Probably the biggest cosmetic flaw was that the passenger rear fender was crushed up pretty bad as the previous owner had not set the parking brake and it rolled back and hit a telephone pole, or so he had said. Fortunately, the work the previous owner had done on the fender had helped and not made the damage worse. He used a hydraulic jack to push out the fender out to roughly where it should be.

I know I missed a stripped photo after I put the accent line back in and shrank up the excess stretch with the disk, but this is the rear fender with 2 coats of paint from a rattle can. So far I have only blocked out the first coat. Notice the hole in the wheelwell edge. I simply ground out the rot and will make a more regular edge and replace metal shortly. In order to redo the accent line I took a peice of 2x4 and had to practically set the table saw blade almost on its side in order to cut the wood to the correct angle. Then I used it on the inside of the fender along with a big ball peen hammer to coax the the metal out. This combined with some slapper work made quick work of reestablishing this line. And then another round with the shrinking disk took out the remaining stretch. Oh yea,and I fixed the remaining dents except around the side marker opening. still thinking about that one.
