UpDate on Web Site
Mood:
crushed out
I am sorry that I had to make some changes to the web site. Due to the fact that it is free, we are limited with space on it. I had to remove some pictures and I want to let ya'll know. It wasn't because I wanted to but it was giving an error when you tried to post to it. All of us loved seeing the pictures but they required to much space. If you would like to edit and crop them to thumbnail size it will not take as much space up or you can put them in the picture album. I am sorry again that I had to do this but I had no other choice. If you have any question, please email me at patiencecoon@yahoo.com.

GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS! The Site Po-lice is cracking his whip and keeping me busy. I'm in charge of making name tags for everyone and need your input. In addition to name tags for the classmates, I would like to make name tags for the individuals you will bring with you to our bless-ed event. Please email me at tealthoziz@yahoo.com so my mission will be accomplished. As long as there are appropriate name tags in place there will be no name calling allowed on the premises! tee hee!!!
Also, there will be a book up front with everyone's contact information. Sometime during our fun-filled evening please check your current information and sign in. This will help for future reunion. All classmates will be listed whether in attendance or not. If you have any information on the MIA's it would prove most useful.
Looking forward to seeing everyone with an-ti-ci-pa-tion! Your assistance and cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Twanna Roberts

Hi Everyone! We are having a great response to the tailgate/Ball Game event. THanks for all your responses. If you have not responded, please do so this week.
SECOND... T-shirts...
I got a couple of people to say they would want to purchase a T-Shirt if I had some made. I did not want to mess with it unless we had a comittment for like about 50 or so in order to get a better price break. I was shooting for a nice, quality, pull over shirt. The design is a freebie (my middle son, the professional grahic design artist "volunteered" to help with that)... HOW ABOUT SOME FEEDBACK!! SHIRTS or NO SHIRTS???
BIO...
I left OPHS at midterm and went into the Marines for a tour. I was an aerial photographer. When I got out, I went to NLU and got a BA and MA in Criminal Justice. I eventually found myself as a police officer in Fort Worth, Texas for a while and later moved to Springfield, MO. In Springfield, I taught at Drury University and joined the police department here. My wife and I then took turns leaving home to go to law school in Fayetteville, Ar. So now, I am a criminal defense attorney. We own a nice practice here where I "specialize" in DWI defense. Along the way, I was ordained and have been a youth pastor in various churches for about 12 years all together. I still teach but now at Missouri State. I love teaching! I can have my Doctor of Theology by May if I take the time (and $$$) to finish, but who knows.
Family wise, I am married to Rita (15 years this November) and we have 4 grown boys... Tanner is 22, Michael and Hunter are 20 and Dakota Jo is 19. No grandkids yet but two of the boys are just about to get caught by two very sweet girls... Life is a wonderful thing!

SATURDAY NIGHT, Sept. 23
Topic: Food and Set ups
Attention Attendees:
The way it stands right now is that Cormier's will be catering "our night". They will be serving appetizers and finger foods. Also, we will be providing "set ups", and ice. If any of this changes we will post it ASAP.
The big weekend is only 20 days away.. There has been a tremendous turnout for this reunion, alot more than I ever hoped for. In fact, Patience tells me that I owe her a dinner on a bet, about how many we would have. I don't remember exactly that part, I think it was a lunch, but, I'll gladly pay off for the response that we have had.

Hey everybody!
This site has been a blast. What I've been up to since '76....graduated from ULM (Still NLU to me) in Dec. '79 with a degree in Interior Design. Married in June '79 to Mark Cole from Ball, La. (Near Pineville). Been married 27 years. He's one of the administrators at Central La. State Hospital (yes the nut house) and is close to receiving his PHD in psychology. I work part-time as a church administrator and have been there almost 12 years and love the people there. We have two children - a daughter, Mackenzie-19, college student and a son, Keaton-16, a junior at Tioga High School and a member of the drumline. Look forward to seeing everybody!
By the way, I located Mr. Halbrook (it's Dr. Halbrook, now) He might actually try to come. I'm sending him info..

Retired and enjoying every minute of it - for a total of 31 days so far!
I taught junior high at Start School in Richland Parish for 17 years – mostly science. I spent the last 10 years with ULM’s teacher professional development center working as coordinator of various state professional development grants and two National Science Foundation projects – Delta Rural Systemic Initiative and DAMSALS2. My job also included contract work for K-12 teacher professional development across the state with a focus on science and information technology. I married my best friend, Woody Armfield. When I married Woody, I inherited two beautiful girls and serve as a full time step-mom. Both girls are now in college - Lacey is a beginning junior and Amber is a sophomore at ULM. Woody and I both retired this summer and have recently moved to our retirement home on top of a mountain in the Ozarks…where we plan to finish our house, fish, and hike…a lot.
