I've been talking with a few attendees and want to make everyone aware that this is a BYOB with setups available. F.Y.I. -- If you drink beer you might want to stock your ice chest for the occasion. There will be plenty of food and fun for all. I am so --- excited! For those traveling please be careful!

See ya,

Twanna

Mood:  happy
Hey everyone! Its hard to believe that it has been 30 years.

After Ouachita, I attended Northeast (ULM) and graduated in 1980 with a degree in Education. I got married to Cecil Lipscomb (OPHS Class of 75) in June 1978. We have been married just over 28 years. I went to work for my families business out of college and received my Real Estate license. Cecil works with CenturyTel in Accounting.

We have 2 children. Meredith is a Pharmacy student at ULM and married last summer. The plan is no grandkids until she is a real Pharmacist. Curtis has just started LSU in Biology wanting to be a Doctor. They both graduated valedictorians from Ouachita in 2002 and 2006, respectively.

When our kids started school, I did too. I have been a teacher at Jack Hayes Elementary for 16 years teaching Special Education and a Reading program for At-Risk Readers.

We enjoy outdoor activities like water sports, snow skiing, camping and LSU tailgating.

Can’t wait to see everyone.

Golf Outing Roll Call
To all Golf Legends(in our own minds),
I need a roll call in order to divide the teams...a couple of guys (local) have not returned calls so we may have been premature in including them in the outing.

So let's see a show of hands
Mike

ps I need the correct numbers so that I can communicate with the girls from Hooters that will drive the drink cart

NEWS UPDATE/REUNION
Mood:  energetic
Hey everybody I would like to take the time to Thank everyone that has helped with this reunion again. I believe that it is going to be the biggest and maybe the best we have ever had. The time is getting very close and I am so excited about seeing each and everyone of ya'll. The only thing left to do is decorate and I will do that on Saturday Morning. Since we are the babies of the Bi-Cenntial class, that will the theme for us. I really think that ya'll will like that.

Also, Mike and I would like ya'll to bring your camera and take as many pictures as you can. After everything settles down we are going to try to put them on a disc for everyone. Again don't forget your camera.

Mike, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for the Great Reunion Book that you have put together for all of us. It will be a great thing to have in the years to come. The design is out of this world and again thank you.

See you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TEE-SHIRT for the weekend!!!
OKAY!! Here's the lastest update on the t-shirt venture. I have a design and have picked a shirt. Sorry, but once we decided to jump with a shirt, I had to move fairly quickly to get it done. I have attempted to post a copy of the design on the blog and I am not allowed to do so. ANY ONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE DESIGN< EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEND IT TO YOU!

The order I made was for a 3/4 sleeve baseball shirt. It is grayish/white in color with maroon sleeves. (just like the one we use to wear wayyyyy back then!!) I ordered 5 mediums for the ones of us still that small, and 25 Large, 25 X-Large and 25 XX-Large... That's 80 all together... so it will have to be first come, first served... ((Sorry Scott, nothing over a 2X...))

I will have them at the ball game on Friday night and Saturday night. Right now, the cost looks like it is going to work out to be $12.00 each. I thought that was a good cost. I hope you all agree... I could have gone down aobut a $1.00 each by going to 50/50 plain white T's but I thought this was a better material.

Thanks guys!

Reunion Guests
Mood:  d'oh
L.I. DON'T KNOW who are y'all bringing witcha??? Haven't had many responses about who you're bringing to the reunion and need to complete name tags for everyone. For those of you that haven't, shame upon ya. Even Tannehill emailed me with the info. I'm giving him an atta boy! Sorry Alan -- Scott's been picking on you and I guess, it's just rolling down hill. Ha! Anyway, if you haven't emailed me at tealthoziz@yahoo.com with the name of your guest, please do so.

I have several things to complete before we meet and I'd really like to finish up but I need your help desperately. Can't wait to see everyone and am really looking forward to it. Patience said I have to behave so if I'm acting rather strange, you'll know why. She's been so patient (pardon the pun, ha) with me lately, I want to send a special thank you to her for trying to guide me in the right direction, although it ain't workin'. You go girl!

Bye, Bye -- See you soon!

Saturday Night Agenda
Mood:  vegas lucky
Guys and Gals,
Only about 2 weeks away, and closing fast. Most of the details have been finalized. Cormiers will be catering and set ups and ice will be provided. The Disc Jockey has been instructed to play music from the late 60's thru the mid 80's. He is to play music quietly and kinda in the background for the first couple of hours, for us to visit and "catch up". Then he will "turn it up" if we want to dance, or we can just play it by ear. Pictures will be taken at 8:00, so this is not the night for anyone to be "fashionably late". Tannehill, 8:00 is when the short line is on the 8 and the long one is on the 12, that's the number at the top. Just like the rest, I have enjoyed so much getting phone calls and emails from people that I haven't talked to in so long. One last thing, I will have a box, or a "fish bowl" at the party. It will be used for everyone to put in their suggestions for the next get together. Things like when, where, casual, fancy, etc. So, start thinking about that stuff in advance, and email your bio in NOW to Duncan.
Thanks,
Scott Miller

Shady Grove Elementary Pictures
Topic: PICTURES
I am so excited about the reunion. Some of us go all the way back to the 1st grade! I have located class pictures from Shady Grove! You should see how cute Dale Holman and Karen Recouley look sitting on the front row in Ms. Crotwell's class. Nancy Burke and Cynthia Craig look so innocent in Ms. Ponder's second grade picture. Oh, and what about Steve McKithen's fancy boots that he wore for Ms. Lindsay's third grade picture. Cindy Singleton and Belinda Beckley were sitting on opposite sides of the room in Ms. Tatum's fifth grade class - could that have had anything to do with talking in class! I seem to be missing the forth grade and sixth grade pictures. Also, there were two sections for each grade so there is another set of pictures out there somewhere. I am going to make copies of what I have and maybe Patience will let me post them on the wall for Saturday night. I would like to be able to put a name with every face so maybe some of you could help with that Saturday night. If you have any of the pictures that I am missing, please make a copy of them and bring to the reunion or let me know and I will have them scanned and make a copy. How about you folks that went to other elementary schools - anyone out there have your old class pictures?
