Rules
1) This club is in a PBeM format. Roleplaying will take place on the
mailinglist.
2) There are only five basic dragon colors: gold, bronze, brown, blue and
green. No mutants will be allowed in this game.
3) Golds Impress to women, bronzes Impress to men, end of story. This
version of Last Hope Weyr is trying to stick to canon as much as possible.
4) There is no magic, ESP, clairvoyance, witches etc., only the empathic
bonding between rider and dragon exists and the very rare ability to Hear
All Dragons (HAD). No crossover characters, either.
5) There is no religion on Pern.
6) AIVAS was not discovered, so Thread still falls on Pern and the
Holderfolk still rely on dragons and their riders to keep Thread out of the
sky.
7) Dragon names always end in "th"
8) No joke names such as Sprocketh or Puffeth, and we reserve the right to
refuse any name based on another fandom.
9) All new personas must be submitted for approval, including NPCs.
10) We deal with mature subjects, we ask that you be at least 15. By playing
at LHW Rebirth you agree that you are 15 or older. If you lie, it is
not the fault of LHW Rebirth staff.
11) Leave of Absence (LOA): If you are going to be away from your computer
for more than a week, you must post a LOA notice to the list. That lets the BoD and anyone you might be posting with that you can't reply. If you are
going on an extended LOA (two weeks or more), you may want to notify the BoD
so we can set you on no mail or digest so that your inbox doesn't overflow
and start bouncing. If you are leaving for more than a month, please
consider temporarily having your characters step down from any ranking
positions. By having a high rank, people expect you to post.
12) Posting Requirements: In order to maintain your membership at
LHW Rebirth, you MUST participate in at least two posts per month. These
posts must be of decent size (At least 1 GOOD paragraphs). Sorry, no
one-liners.
13) Personas created for LHW Rebirth remain the property of LHW Rebirth. If
you just up and leave, and stop posting. Your characters will continue on in
LHW Rebirth. There is one way to prevent this. That is contacting the BoD
about your departure and declaring what you want done with your characters.
This will work with all characters except RANKING personas. They will remain
in play until they can neatly be taken out of the storyline and all their
plots are completed. Characters who have been roleplayed can't simply
disappear, they must either transfer out or die.
14) Number of Personae: No limit, but you are expected to play all your
characters. The BoD reserves the right to ask members to NPC persona, which
they can use later, until the BoD feels they are ready to handle another
persona.
15) Posing/Godmoding: DO NOT use other people's personae without their
permission. You may approach someone else's persona, or speak to them, but
don't assume anything. This rule applies in ALL situations, to ALL
characters, and ALL dragons or pets.
16) Searchriders are special, one per player please! They can be green and
blue, and rarely brown riders. Gold and Bronze dragons are too self-centered
to think about anyone but themselves.
17) Don't be afraid to pop into Threads, if they are in a public place. If
they are in someone's weyr or a private place, please ask the people playing
first; they might have plans.
18) About NPCS: These are Non-Player Characters. This means anyone can use
them, no one owns them. They can be adopted. Other wise they are used in RP
to flesh out a thread. ex. drudges, dragonriders, ect.
19) Firelizards: No new personae may have firelizards. These must be earned.
20) HADs are selected through contests.
21) Disputes: handle problems like adults. This is only a game. If you can't
solve a problem, bring it to the BoD.
22) Gold and bronze dragons: Any new gold or bronze dragons MUST be earned.
For a gold or bronze, you must be active ICly, and OOCly, and we don't even
consider you if you can't roleplay very well. Be your best. We don't award
golds to just anybody. You have to EARN them.
23) Mature browns, blues, and greens may be made at any time. We ALWAYS need
those. Please check the AVAILABLE POSITIONS page to see if there are
any dragonrider spots open.
24) Roleplay rating: Nothing Kinky, or offensive please. If your post is
graphic, warn us please. Daya likes kinky, others may not. Be considerate!

Search Porcedure
Search is going to be conducted differently at Rebirth then it was at the
original LHW. Any players wishing to have candidates come from Holds
must play their characters at Last Hope Hold until a Search Dragon appears.
Then all candidates will be Searched at once. this will help LHH get
some roleplay action.
Posting Guidelines
In the subject of the threads posted should be a Tag along with a date.
