Step Five  Presentation

 

Since your brochure will be the focus of your presentation; you will naturally be referring to it as you speak. But remember that you are trying to persuade us to visit your paradise through descriptions, so establishing eye contact with your audience is important. In other words, do not read from your brochure!! Refer to the presentation rubric to see how your efforts will be evaluated.

All members equally participating

The speakers clearly convey the country and provide details that are relevant and interesting.

Generally complete.

All members participate

The speakers conveys the country, but does not provide adequate relevant details

Incomplete

Few members participating

The description is unclear. Details are random and irrelevant

Comprehensibility/ Fluency

Comprehensible. The speaker uses appropriate vocabulary to convey the country.  The student speaks very clearly without hesitation. Pronunciation and intonation sound natural.

Generally comprehensible. The message is unclear in places.  The student speaks with some hesitation. Problems with pronunciation and intonation do not prevent communication

Incomprehensible. The message could not be understood. The student hesitates frequently. Problems with pronunciation and intonation distort meaning and inhibit communication.


Organization

Well organized and presented in an appropriate format. The order is logical and effective

The presentation helps communicate the main idea.

Generally well organized with a few minor problems and  with few mistakes

 Inappropriate presentation. The lack of organization distorts or completely obscures the main idea.

Eye Contact

Excellent. Students uses brochure for reference only.

Fair. The students often refer to the brochure but maintain some eye contact with the audience.

The students uses brochure as a script and rarely looks at audience
