What Does is Mean to be a Member of Kappa Delta Pi?

Being a member means that you are recognized by the Kappa Delta Pi Society. The Society recognizes that you were intitated into the Epsilon Delta Chapter in a ceremony and you have paid your dues to both the Chapter and the Society. You can put put Kappa Delta Pi on your resume, receive publications, and attend events and conferences sponsored by the Society at a membership rate.

What Does is Mean to be a Distinguished Member of Kappa Delta Pi?

Being a distinguised member of the Epsilon Delta Chapter means that you have actively established yourself in the Chapter. You attend meetings regularly. You also participate in service, social, and fundraising events sponsored by the Chapter, as well as serve on a committee. You can then answer questions regarding your activity in Kappa Delta Pi when an interviewer notices the organiztion on your resume.

In order to receive the distinction, there are requirements that must be met. There are five areas of involvement that afford you the opportunity to become an active member of Kappa Delta Pi. There are point values awareded in each area for your participation.

How do I become a member of Kappa Delta Pi?

To become a member of Kappa Delta Pi, you need to meet the following qualifications:

Undergraduate Students

• Maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher
  

• Have completed 15 or more credits at California University
  
• Attend at least eight meetings in one year
• Serve on at least one committee
• Complete at least one highway clean-up
• Complete two fundraisers in one year
• Attend initiation ceremony

Graduate Students

• Maintain a 3.75 GPA or higher
• Have completed 15 or more credits at California University
• Attend at least eight meetings in one year
• Serve on at least one committee
• Complete at least one highway clean-up
• Complete two fundraisers in one year
