Some of my favorite pages from our
New Year's cruise in December and January 2002.
Because of the number of photos on this page, it may take
awhile to load. I hope you'll find it worth the wait!

Photos of the ship, and our "welcome aboard" photo
Formal portraits taken New Year's Eve, 2001
To ring in 2002, every passenger had handfuls of confetti and streamers,
and at midnight they dropped thousands of balloons too!
THEN the parties began all over the ship!
A tour of the ship: the atrium, one of the show lounges,
a cabin, and the photographer's gallery.
More of the ship's tour: the Promenade deck, the Pizzaria and
Burger Bar, and Horizon Court, where they had fabulous buffets every day!
Some of the pools and hot tubs around the ship.
Nighttime views of the ship and the nightclub.
I am always amazed at how blue and how clear
the water is in the Caribbean!
The harbor on Grand Cayman, my favorite Caribbean island.
While on Grand Cayman, we had to take the kids to Hell.
It was still flooded after last fall's hurricane, but it was still Hell!
The Turtle Farm on Grand Cayman suffered severe damage, both to the structure
itself and the turtles it housed, as a result of the hurricane. Over 75% of the turtles
were washed out to sea, but our guide assured us that they were large enough to have
survived on their own. Jen enjoyed holding this snapping turtle -- but carefully!
