CAMP DELMONT
July 7-9, 2000

CAMP DELMONT MAP & GROUP PICTURES

Camp Delmont is part of the 1,400+ acre Musser Scout Reservation and is located in Marlborough Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is nestled around the serenity of the Unami Creek.

This fun-filled weekend gave us the opportunity to enjoy the Archery and BB-Gun Ranges, swimming at the Pool, working with wood and leather at the Sawcraft and Leather Shop, and tested our Outdoor Skills.

We stayed in 2-men tents on wooden platforms and slept on canvas cots. The Lakefront Campsite was comprised of approximately 20 tents, fire ring, latrine, and flagpole.

From the time our Pack arrived on Friday night until the time we checked out on Sunday morning, the memories that were created will stay with us forever. Each of the boys received a participation patch and the adults received a coffee mug.

SOME FUN DAYTIME STUFF

From the moment we arrived at Camp Delmont, the fun started! Georgie (and his mom, Donna), Danny (and his dad, Dan), Thomas (and his mom, Lynn), Tim (and his dad, Hank), Shawn (and his mom, Kathy), and JJ (and his dad, Steve) had a BLAST!

The theme for this year's camping trip was CIRCUS. When we arrived at the Dining Hall, the games and clowns were plentiful --- from an Elephant Ring Toss to a Fishy Ping-Pong Toss --- we did it all!

On Saturday, we began our day at the Colors Ceremony were the flag was raised. Breakfast consisted of an Egg Muffin (yuck) and cereal! Matt, the Camp Director, taught us to scream for our food (something we did for every meal). We then went on to the events of the day which consisted of the Obstacle Course, Miniature Golf Course, BB-Gun Range, and Archery Range. Our next stop was lunch --- Chicken Nuggets. After lunch, we headed for the Leather and Saw Craft Shops. Some of us decided to take a drip in the pool to get the grime and sweat from the day off. Dinner was delicious --- Roast Beef! Tie dying t-shirts was our next event and they turned out great!

The main event for that day was the campfire. Different Packs put on skits and sang songs. Our Pack decided to do "THE ENLARGENING MACHINE" skit --- we are proud to say we received the most laughs and applause!

Sunday morning-bright and early (7 a.m.), we participated in the POLAR BEAR CLUB! Steve, Lynn, Danny, JJ, Georgie, Tim, and Shawn were all crazy enough to jump in that freezing cold pool. Breakfast --- French Toast Sticks (pretty good). We then headed to the Trading Post to get the Polar Bear Club Badges and souvenirs. The BB-Gun Range ended our events for the day. Our last stop was the Closing Ceremony were the boys received their Camp Badges and the adults received their coffee mugs!

THANX MATT AND CREW
YOU MADE OUR STAY BOTH MEMORABLE AND FUN!
