MEMBERSHIP TRAINING:
All operational members have received training in Emergency Medical and Rescue Techniques.
With the events of the world today and with the intent of being better able to assist our public safety agencies and community in time of need. The S.D.U. has members who have received training in a variety of fields. Some of the categories are as follows: Advanced Emergency Medical and Rescue Techniques - Use and operation of A.E.D. - Emergency Vehicle Operation - Command Operation - Emergency Medical for our canine partners - Dealing with Stress Management and Debriefing - Dealing with Crime Scene Incidents - Photography - Emergency Response to Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction incidents - and Dealing with Haz Mat incidents.
Plus the Specialty Dog Unit (S.D.U.) has members of the "Montgomery County, CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT (C.I.S.M.) TEAM", as active members of our unit.
