What the EC Do? The Educated Chamber (EC) is a people movement. Unlike other charitable non-profit making organisations, it maintains that the movement is run and owned by the people to achieve their own destiny. It prepares the underprevileged people to assume ownership to eradicate social discriminations that prevail in India. The mission of the EC is to create a model society which is free from all forms of social prejudices including castes, suppression, violence, inequality, and enable every section of the society to participate in the nation-building. In line with this mission, the volunteers (cadres) of the EC are involved in activities that help create a cultural revolution within the mass. To achieve this, the mass needs to be educated on large scale and thus empowered itself to take a lead on the said direction. The key themes on which the volunteers mobilise the people mass are as follows: Change ourselves, Change others and Take the Lead In line with the righteousness and vision of the EC, the cadres must first change, then they must align others on the changed path. Finally, the world class model society will be created which will take the lead of both the society and the nation. Oppose social inequality and create social hormony. Social inequalities must be resisted with full strength in all of its forms including social, economy and politics but social hormony must be inculcated. Grow ourselves and avoid dependence If the depressed and downtrodden must improve, it is in their own hands, they must involve in all self-development initiatives but certainly prevent from depending on others for their own cause. Create a non-violent society Violence in terms of caste clashes has become an everyday affair in India. Diverting the people away from violence by showing the path of non-violence while simultaneously achieving their demands has become an indispensable act these days. Eliminate miscreants but create righteous and moral people in politics Politics has, recently, in India, become a place of heaven for miscreants and rogues, which, seriously affect the growth of our nation, subsequently the future of the majority of the Indian mass. These impurities must be eliminated from the political arena. But righteous and moral people must be encouraged to participate in. Create a good leadership in politics A good, committed, able, honest and intellectual leadership in Indian politics is lacking for a long time since independence, which requires immediate redress. People must be made aware of choosing such right leaderships. Uplift the downtrodden people and prepare them to become rulers India is largely composed of the downtrodden people but are the most disadvantaged ones. They have never been allowed to both entertain and create the wealth of the nation. For India to become a super power and eradicate all its social prejudices, the downtrodden people must be prepared to take the lead of the nation. How EC Cadres carryout the activity? Cadres of EC are trained through several workshops at districts and town levels on all of the aforesaid matters. They are, in accordance with the organisational structure of the EC, deputed to cover their own jurisdiction, meet people, mainly villagers, discuss with them, organise meetings repeatedly and initiate several empowerment programmes. Dedicated, educated and well-off people are made as cadres as they have both the financial and intellectual resources to carryout the ambitious mission of the EC. By doing this, they are made aware of their responsibilities to the nation as a resourceful mass. This, further establishes a linkage between the most disadvantageous downtrodden mass and the most advantageous resourceful mass, which the past movements in India failed to achieve. So far, hundreds of such awareness programmes and other related projects were conducted throughout the state of Tamilnadu. At present, the organisation enjoys the full support of the downtrodden people of northern districts of Tamlinadu. Soon, it is expected to spread throughout the southern districts and India as well. Largely, the cost of these awareness programmes and related projects are borne by the cadres and people themselves. In what way does the EC work innovatively? It is a known fact that all communities should participate in nation-building if a nation aspires to fulfill its needs. The history of most progressive countries has shown that participation of all sections of the society is key to the well being of that society and thus the prosperity of the nation. These countries seemed to have realised that lack of participation of underprevileged communities, especially, the downtrodden, depressed and under developed would obstruct the economic prosperity of the nation. Poverty, drug addictness and illegal and terrorist activities would then entrap such communities, which will cause a serious crackdown in both the constitutional and societal set up. Having floundered with what things to do in life while being uneducated, unaware and unemployed these people will have nothing special to improve but to waste their efforts in wrong doings. This is the current status of the Indian downtrodden community. As largely being ignorant, illiterate, unemployed and unaware on socio-economic developments, the plight of these 80% Indian people is as worse as orphans. Especially, their future seems to be very blurred, as there is no hope for them to equip and develop themselves economically, socially and politically. As stated above until and unless they equip and prepare themselves for the changing needs of the nation and the global impacts as well, the community will be stalled in its developments and far from reaching its destiny. Having said that the participation of all communities in nation-building is critical for the nation to be successful as a nation, and having witnessed that the participation of the underprivileged is critical for a nation to progress and become strong, the EC has taken a relentless struggle to streamline the people in nation-building as it promises a secured and prosperous future for them. What do the EC means by the term 'participation'? It is initiatives taken by the underprivileged community in uplifting itself economically, socially and politically and thus contributing to the nation in all these three perspectives. The moral weapon, the education, will shape the community with good behaviour, good attitude, enlightened future, good culture, visionary and creative approaches and leadership qualities. It will also keep that community away from wrong doings and embracing the path of impurity. Therefore, the EC, by having committed to this innovative cause, is seen as an innovative effort. What impact will the EC have on the community? As the EC is tweaking the society in all major dimensions including social, economy and political, a-topside-down-change in the way in which the current Indian mass is behaving is expected to occur. The EC has determined to create a model society with majority of the Indian mass, where: The social inequalities as inherent in the current society will be vanished without any bloodshed and violence Equality in opportunity in employment and business to all sections of the Indian society will be established The political arena will be purified as the model society will be able to identify the right leaderships Participative and informed society will be created, when, the nation will get its share from all sections of the society, and thus the nation is built with the majority of the Indian mass. Violence will be completely eradicated as people will love to co-exist with each other.
