We are the Pookamons, not quite Pooka, not quite Pokemon, cursed into a shadow like existence between the two, and these pages tell our tales.

I am Azrael, otherwise known as the Angel of Death, for that is my duty and that is my curse.

And I am Brooke, alone and afraid, mocked by the world of humans who do not see our pain. Who do not understand it.

You may ask yourself, what is a Pookamon? What, you wonder is a Pooka?

A Pooka is a race of the Fae kin. An ancient race, whose ties lie in the animal kingdom and with whom they share similarities. A Pooka might have the ears of a rabbit, the tail of a rabbit and have the speed of a rabbit.
Pooka can also assume the full form of their animal kin. A rabbit Pooka can become a rabbit, a bear Pooka a bear. It is all so simple.

For them.

A Pookamon is something more indeed, something much more disturbing. For to the untrained human eye, a Pooka bears resemblance to a normal human. But not so a Pookamon.
Yes, we can change form, but we appear abnormal to all who see us.
Humans do not trust us, brand us with names like "freak" or "monster".
Animals and Pokemon fear us. They do not understand us.

Here, on these pages our tales will be told. They may alarm you. They may sadden you.
It is for this purpose that this page is recommended for those who have attained the age of thirteen years, and those of you that have not...
