Saffire (Nothing)

Name: Saffire (Nothing)
Age: 20
Height: 6'1"
Species: Ninetails
Motto: "There isn't really any purpose."
Occupation: Self pitying - Student at Seaview

As a Vulpix, Saffire's inability to cast even the simplest fire attack meant that he was unloved and unwanted - until Melysa found him. She loved him, training him in ice attacks instead, something he turned out to be somewhat efficent at, and she Named him. He shamelessly adored her, and would do anything for her.

And then one day, he awoke with a terrible recognition - Melysa was to die, in a brutal car wreck. He tried to inform her of this premonition, even attacking her when she tried to enter the car. He would have done anything to help her, anything! But he was captured and trapped in his Pokeball, after being punished for disobedience. The accident occured exactly as he had seen it. The screech of tortured metal, the scream of his beloved Trainer... The scream that stopped so abruptly. And he was unable to help. She had died thinking he had tried to hurt her.

Of all her Pokemon, he alone escaped unscatched, for of all her Pokemon, he was the only one in the safety of a Pokeball. The accident had been caused by a drunk, who had run a stop sign and hit them. She had died quickly. And he was alone.

He was given to the SPCP for adoption, but due to his mutation, noone wanted him, and his overwelming despair meant that he made no effort to endear himself to anyone, lying in the bottom of his pen and staring at his paws. Eventually scientists from Wyvern purchased him and about a hundred other unwanted Pokemon for their experimentation. He did not care as he was dragged away in a tiny cage and underwent the Change.

Much to his despair, he survived the operation, where many others had died.

And there he remained for the next handful of years, until one day a door was left unlocked. Saffire merely walked out from the laboratories, finding his way to the Island Haven with a life that he did not really want.
