People often ask me what I do in my free time, and does my wheelchair limit my activities? Hopefully this will answer the questions and help people see that my life is truly awsome!

SNOW SKIING USING THE YETTI

When you cannot stand or walk, your arms become your freedom. Although I have limited grip strength in my hands, I can maneuver the outriggers by duct taping my gloves to the handles. To turn I simply lean to the side and guide the ski with the outrigger. To stop, make a fast hard turn and dig in the base ski... pretty much like a hockey player stops. Once you get the hang of it you can go anywhere! The Mountain is your playground. (Photo taken at "Top Of Texas", Mt Hood Oregon)

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Living in Oregon gives me opportunity to enjoy just about every environment there is. The Mountains, Ocean, Valley, Desert, and everything in between. The freedom of being one with nature is a constant reminder of how small lifes problems really are in comparison to the majestic beauty around us.(Photo taken at "Hole In The Ground", Oregon... where a meteor landed in the early 1900's leaving a hole over a mile wide and 200' deep.)

THE DAILY "T"

My everyday life is full of activity and fun. My Hearing Companion Dog, Bubba, stays by my side and shares my love of the outdoors. I spend a great deal of time with my WOW kids (scouts who use wheelchairs) and their activities. I enjoy basketball, fishing, camping, riding my ATV, time with family and friends, and of course my computer! I have a wonderful husband, who refuses to allow his photo to be put on the internet, so let me just tell you... hes a keeper! I have never been one to wear make-up, or spend hours on my hair. I am too busy with life to hide the real me. Is there anything I can't do in my wheelchair? Walk and climb stairs, but I haven't given up on one day being able to do both of those again!
