Pokemon Card GB Review and Screenshots

Almost everyone has heard about the popular pokemon trading card game released by Wizard of the Coasts. It is has grown very popular both here in America and Japan. In Japan they took a step farther and they have made for the Gameboy Pokemon Card GB. In this game your objective is to become a pokemon card master. You will have the chance to go around the world and go to some pokemon card clubs and face off against them. Like the red and blue pokemon games, you will be able to buy items, teach new attacks to pokemon( its like using a tm/hm ) , and you also get to play agaqinst a friend with the infamous link cable. There still is a cable club and a pc for you to store cards and other useful items. Here you collect the pokemon cards which you will use to play against other opponents. The character wont be any of those from the tv show or the other games. Thats a shame. I guess you will be just playing as yourself facing other card trainers. The drawings on the cards look similar to the ones in the real trading card game, but there are some cards you might not have seen because the trading card game so far has only 69 pokemon cards.

It isn’t really hard once you know how to play. You will be hooked on it since the game is very addictive. If you haven’t played it before thats okay because you will be tutored when playing beginning battles. There are many sttegies you may use. If you know how to play the card game it will be a breeze. You can use the same strategies if you want. I recommend this game to players who can get the japanese version. If you don’t have access to the japanese version I guess the only thing to do is wait till it is released in America. I have some screenshots below for you to take a look at. Enjoy. I will soon have a strategy guide for this game once I get my hands on a copy.
