You
ever have one of those moments, not of enlightemment, but when the pit
of your stomach begins to feel really bad. Like you misplaced something
important, like the disk with your ezine on it? You know you left
it there, but when you get there, its gone. Well, guess what I did.
Yeah, I lost the ezine. Too bad, I had a nice cover page, and a table
of contents, I mean a real page. Well, maybe I'll find it soon enough,
before I send this one over the line to the web page.
My original
opening went something like this: 'you may ask yourself, what does
the editor of "Above Ground Testing" do with himself after each ezine.
Well, on this day, I'm sitting in my back yard, with my mug, getting ready
for the next ezine. It's a glorious day, warm enough for shorts,
but not that stifling heat of July. I've got my boom box going with
a cd and a mug of tea to enjoy. Life is good. " Words to that
effect.
I've
had a pleasant surprise, 'Poetrytodayonline" gave a review of my page in
the August issue.
A number
of new poetry has arrived in my e-mail box, and I do enjoy reading all
your work. It makes this zine happen. Without your imput, I
would have lost interest a long time ago, so thanks.
Review
The review for this month
is the new "Captain Tractor" cd 'Celebrity Traffic Jam'. If you're
not familiar with the group; the are a celtic-rock group from Edmonton
Alberta. I realize when one thinks of celtic, a city in the Prairies
doesn't leap to your mind. Yet, the band has been working and playing
for a number of years. This disk is their fourth and is a huge leap
forward as far maturity is concerned. I have always thought the band
has been shifting between a serious one and a comedy band. Now, they
are to be reckoned with. There is good writing and playing with this
disk. If you care for more information about the cd or the band,
head over to their home page at: http://www.captaintractor.com
