Setting up an E-mail LinkPeople living in the "paperless era" don't like to write things down. This includes, unfortunately, your E-mail address. The solution? Point-and-click E-mail links. Think back for a moment. Do you remember how to make an external link? If not, go take a quick peek, but do hurry back, Okay? Ahhh....Welcome back. Now then, when you're typing in the
e-mail link, in place of a URL, put "mailto:youraddress@server.com".
(or .net, .org, .edu, et cetera). Remember to close the
parentheses with There now, that didn't hurt a bit, did it? If it did, just take two asprin and E-mail me first thing in the morning. My link is in the sidebar of every page in this website. While I'm on the topic of e-mail and the convenience thereof, let me blather aimlessly for a few seconds about email forms. Sometimes you will see several fields and buttons for you to complete, and then a button entitled "submit" or "send". These forms are used as surveys to harvest specific information from users of your webpage, and use of them requires a cgi-bin. More about how to create forms can be found here. |
