Chapter Nine

Katelyn


I walked over to my dresser and put my new "goodies" under my clothes. I looked out the window and noticed the Hanson's house and shut my blinds.

"Ayo, Kate, wake up over there!" Destiny laughed. "I know you're not stoned. You haven't smoked anything except cigarettes."

I shook my head. "Sorry. I'm out of it right now. I don't know why." I pulled out the plastic bag. "Ready?"

She smiled. "Hell yeah!"

I walked over to my door and locked it. I pulled the lighter out of my pocket and tossed it to Destiny. "Dave didn't roll these for us, so we're gonna have to do it ourselves." I explained, opening the door. "Go open the drawer and get my rolling papers."

Destiny walked over to my nightstand and pulled out the papers, then tossed them to me. "It's been forever since I've rolled a joint." she laughed. "I've almost forgot how to do it."

After sitting down on the floor, I pulled a paper out of the pack and and started to put the weed on it, making sure to take out all the seeds.

"Save those, We can plant them." Destiny grinned.

I smiled back. "Yeah."

I finished rolling the joints and handed one to her. "Hand me the lighter."

"Yes, sir!" she laughed, handing me the lighter, but not until after lighting hers.

I did the same and took a long drag, inhaling the sweet smoke, and slowly letting it out.

We were too busy smoking and laughing that we didn't realize someone was banging on the door.

"Katelyn?"

I jumpped. Groaning, I stood up on shaking legs and walked to the door, putting the joint behind my back and opened the door, seeing my brother standing there looking like a fool. "What?"

Kyle frowned. "Someone's on the phone for you."

"Oh. Who is it?" I asked, trying to keep from laughing. I looked over at Destiny, who was staring at Kyle with a weird look on her face.

"I don't know. Some guy. I think he said his name was...Scott...or something like that. Some other guy was in the background. He was yelling or something. Jay... or Jason. Oh well. Telephone." and with that, he walked off.

I rolled my eyes. I looked over and noticed Destiny standing next to me. I didn't hear her jump up.

"My baby called?" She smiled.

I shrugged. "I guess so. Come on." we walked down the stairs, making sure to put our joints out before we went into the living room. I picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Hey there baby." my boyfriend, Scott's deep voice said to me. "Miss me?"

"Always. What are you up to?" I asked, twisting the phone cord around my finger.

"Actually, Jason and I are in Lexington, Kentucky." he informed.

I sat down on the couch next to Destiny, who was quietly begging me to let her talk to Jason. I ignored her. "Um, why? Why are you in Kentucky?"

"Because we drove here. That's why." he laughed.

I rolled my eyes again. "But why?"

"Because we have to go through Kentucky to get to Tulsa."

I nearly dropped the phone. "Tulsa? You're coming here to see me?"

Scott laughed. "Actually, Jason and I are just coming there to see the cows. We don't get to see them here, so we thought we'd take a little road trip to meet what makes McDonald's so popular."

I laughed. "Smart ass."

"I know. I try. Damn, Jason wants to talk to Destiny. Put her on. I'll see you in a couple of days okay?"

"Okay. I love you. Bye." I said quietly.

"Love you, too. Bye baby."

I handed the phone to my friend. "Here. You're sex toy wants to freak you over the phone."

She laughed. "Hey Babe."

"Uhh, if Katelyn heard you calling me babe she'd kick your ass." Scott laughed.

Destiny blushed. "Oops. Sorry Scotty. I thought you were Jason."

He laughed again. "No problem, Des. Here's your love slave."

"Hey Sexy."

I watched Destiny continue to blush. I was guessing he had called her "Sexy." She always blushed when he called her that..which was often.

I left the room so that they could have some privacy. Scott would be here in two to three days...I couldn't wait.
