Chapter Four

Katelyn

Allie, Destiny, and I walked, or should I say stumbbled to the car, all laughing hysterically.

I climed into the backseat, Destiny beside me. My arm and stomach was hurting slightly from the tattoos. I was coming down from my...out of it state.

David, who was not drunk in the least, even though he had had three shots of vodka, decided to drive us home since Allie was too fucked up to drive. As was Destiny. And me....we won't go there.

"Looks like someone's gonna get laid tonight," Destiny laughed. Then she put her right hand on her left forearm, where her new barbed-wire tattoo was now settling in.

David handed us a plastic baggie. "Smoke these. It'll take the pain away since you're both coming down."

I opened the baggie and took out a neatly rolled joint. There was a lighter in there. "Hell yeah." I whispered, smiling.

I looked over at Destiny. She was smiling as big as I was. "Spark it." she said enthusiastically.

I put the joint to my lips and inhaled slowly, letting the sweet smoke sink in, then exhaled. I handed it to Destiny.

That continued until all three of the joints were...gone.

Almost an hour later, David pulled into my driveway.

Destiny and I were still pretty fucked up. We hadn't stopped laughing.

"Kate, is your old man here?" David asked.

I shrugged. "Who the hell cares?" I opened the door and handed David the seventy-five bucks we owed him. Four tattoos and three body peircings. I got my eyebrow peirced and Destiny had gotten her eyebrow and tounge peirced. I already had my bellybutton peirced.

We watched them drive away, then quickly turned and went inside. I tossed my jacket to God knows where and went into the kitchen. "Want some Tylenol and water?"

"Yeah. I feel a headache coming on." Destiny said, sitting at the table.

Suddenly, my brother Kyle came into the kitchen. "You were right Des, here he is now." I said, glancing evily at my brother.

Destiny turned around and her mouth dropped. "Wow, your brother has got some fine friends." she walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm Destiny Parker, baby."

"Um...Des..." I said, mortified.

"What? The guy's a stud. Now where is your geeky brother?"

I couldn't hold it anymore and I started laughing, hestarically. "You just kissed him then called him a geek."

Once again, her mouth dropped open. She slowly turned around to face Kyle. "Umm..."

He laughed. "Nice to see you, too Destiny." He smiled.

She stuck her tounge out at him.

His eyes widened. "When did you get your tounge peirced?"

"Today. Along with these," she pointed at the eyebrow ring and her tattoos, smiling. "You should see Katelyn's dolphins. They kick ass."

Kyle looked over at me. "You got a tattoo?"

I shook my head. "No." I paused and watched releif wash over his face. "I got two. And one peircing." I turned my body so he could see my new body art.

Just then, some other guy walked into the kitchen. He looked oddly familiar.

"Katelyn?" the guy asked. He had short blonde hair, startling blue eyes, really tall.

"Kate, you remember Taylor, right?" Kyle asked, noting the look on my face.

"Hell yeah. I remember. The punk who used to chase me with worms and try to put them down my shirt." I said, crossing my arms across my chest, exposing more of my tattoo.

Taylor laughed, his eyes on my stomach. "Yeah. Sorry about that. I was a brat, huh?"

"Yes." I answered, walking over to Destiny and pulling on her arm, directing her out of the room. Bumping into Taylor's shoulder.

As we walked out of the room, I could still hear Kyle. "See, I told you she's changed."
