Chapter Fifteen

Katelyn

I half walked, half stumbled into the kitchen to grab some Tylonal. My head was pounding.

"Hey Babe, can you grab me some, too?" Scott called from the living room.

I felt like yelling at him to get it himself, but I didn't have the energy. "Hold on." was all I could manage.

I grabbed the Tylonal and walked back into the livingroom where Scott, Destiny and Jason were sitting on the floor. I sat down beside Scott and handed him his medicine.

"Do you have anything to drink?" Jason asked, putting a cigerette in his mouth.

"Not yet. Mostly this disgusting drink that my brother likes. Non-alchoholic shit, ya know. Kinda like Pepsi-but not."

Destiny laughed. "I'm just going to nod and smile."

"Well, if we're going to party, we need to get some drinks and smokes or somethin'. Otherwise, it's not a party." Scott ackowledged, laying his head in my lap.

"Allie could probably get us something." Destiny told them.

About an hour after my brother and his friend left, Scott, Destiny, Jason, and I all climbed into Jason's Merscadez and headed towards Allie's house.

"You're going to have to show me where it is." Jason looked over at Destiny n the passanger seat.

Destiny laughed. "No shit, Jason. I thought I would just let you drive around until you saw a sign that says 'Allie's Place.'"

Jason grinned. "Fuck you."

Destiny leaned over and licked his ear. "You would."

"Damn straight."

I rolled my eyes as Scott placed his arm around the back of out seat. "Would you two stop?"

Destiny laughed and looked back at me. "Nope."

Scott looked over at me and leaned over and whispered in my ear. "You should act more like Destiny."

I arched my eyebrows at him. "Well maybe if you like the way she acts, like a slut..."

"Hey!" Destiny laughed. "I heard that."

"then maybe you should go with her." I said, ignoring my best friend.

"Hey, I may be a slut, but I don't cheat." Destiny laughed.

"Why not?" Scott asked. "You should."

I looked over at him. "So you're saying you're cheating on me?"

"No. I'm just saying, that if I wanted to, I could."

I rolled my eyes at him. "Who would want you?"

"You, apparently." Jason laughed.

"Shut up and drive." Destiny ordered, getting irritated.

"Yes, mommy."

I shrugged Scott's arm off my shoulders and turned to stare out the window. I shivered as I felt his face come next to my ear.

"What's wrong, baby?" he whispered.

I ignored him, too pissed to talk.

"C'mon, I was just joking. You know I would never cheat on you."

"Don't listen to him, Kate. He will, too." Destiny grinned.

"Blow me." Scott frowned.

I turned to him. "You would like that wouldn't you?"

"You know what Katelyn? Fuck you. If you don't trust me, then I guess there's nothing else to say. Right?" he moved to the other side of the seat, his arms folded over his chest.

About fifteen minutes later, we pulled up Allie's driveway just as David stalked out of the house, slamming the door loudly behind him.

"Dave, what's wrong?" Destiny asked as she opened the passanger door.

"Nothing." And without another word, he hopped on his motercycle and sped off down the road.

Destiny looked over at me and I shrugged.

We walked up to the door and knocked.

The door was jerked open quickly by a sobbing Allie. "Oh, Des, Katelyn. I thought you were Dave. Come on in."

Destiny turned to Jason and Scott. "You guys wait out here. We'll be back in a few."

"Demanding, aren't we?" Jason laughed.

"Shut up and get in the car, dickhead." Destiny grinned, closing the door behind her.

We walked inside and saw Allie sitting on the sofa, trying to dry her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Destiny asked, sitting beside her cousin and drapping an arm around her shoulders. (Hey, we may be bitches but that doesn't mean we're totally heartless.)

"Dave broke up with me." Allie sobbed.

"Why?" I asked as I sat down beside my best friend, nonchalantly looking around for a ciggerette.

"Because I'm pregnant." she rubbed her nose.

"He dumpped you because you're pregnant? Is it his?" Destiny asked.

"Yes, it's his. He dumpped me because I won't get an abortion." she shrugged and gave a weak smile. "I guess it's for the best."

As much of a bitch as I seem, I felt bad for Allie. In fact, I kinda knew how she felt...

"What a bastard." Destiny said angerily.

Allie sniffed once more. "Nevermind that. What is it that you two wanted?"

That's what I'm talking about. "Well," I started. "Our boyfriends are here visiting us, and we were wondering if you could hook us up..."

Allie shook her head and held up her hand. "I'm sorry girls. I can't give you anymore stuff."

"What! Why not?" I demanded, my eyes wide.

"Well, that's another reason Dave left me. When I found out I was pregnant, I flushed everything."

"Everything?!" Destiny and I both scretched. I couldn't belive what I was hearing. Our supplier was telling us that she couldn't give us anything anymore, and she had flushed her profit.

"I'm sorry, girls. But I can't have drugs around me when I', pregnant if I want the baby to be healthy."

"Well, why can't you just get us the stuff and not smoke it?" Destiny asked quickly.

Allie stood up slowly. "Look, I'll get you ciggerettes but that's it. And you won't smoke around me."

"But..." I studdered, feeling a knot rise in my throat.

"That's final." was all she said before she left us in the house alone.
