Preliminary Plans have begun for the 1st Annual Morgan's Raid Festival that is to be held in September 2003. The date has been confirmed and is scheduled for September 20 & 21, 2003. There are many details and plans yet to be made so keep checking back to this page for updates as we progress. There will be booths of local artisans and craftsmen, food, blue grass & folk music, door prizes, 50/50 drawings and much more! An entertainment schedule will be posted to give the line-up as it is being developed! So check back to this page to watch its development!

We plan on making it a fun day by the participants dressing in clothing of the civil war - 1860's era, having apple cider, pumpkin pies, and many other items that would have been found during that era. We hope to have displays of some of the local history to help people learn more of the part that Harrisville played in the Civil War.

In addition to the existing fund-raising projects the Harrisville Society of Friends Club will be doing other types of fund-raisers to help raise necessary funds. It will take a great amount of funds for advertising and promotion. Donated funds will be accepted. Donations can be sent to: The Harrisville Society of Friends Club, P.O. We also need volunteers, helpers and experienced people to help with the planning and work.
