Introduction to J&M racing
J&M racing is named after owners, Jim Rofe and Marty Bomba. Together they will be going into their seventh season in 2002. The team was founded in 1996 by answering a classified add for a PureStock race car. Since then they have raced Lorain County Speedway and Sandusky Speedway for the past six years. Now in 2002 they plan on making the trip back to Lorain County Speedway in hopes of a very successful racing season.

Qualifications

They have raced at Lorain County Speedway for 2 seasons, 1996 and 1997. And Sandusky speedway for 2 seasons. (due to a career change they ran a limited schedule in 2000 and 2001)
Their second year at Lorain County, they placed 6th in the overall championship points and 19th the first year at Sandusky. 1999 saw the team finish 17th in points.
They have raced a full season each year with the exception of 2000.
They had 21 top 4 finishes and 4 wins during ‘97 and 11 top 4 and 0 wins in ‘98.
In 1999 they had 2 wins and 5 top ten finishes.

The Goals

To establish win - win relationships with our sponsors and their partners wanting to increase sales, gain market share and build brand awareness to a near national level.
To develop effective motorsports marketing programs for sponsoring companies’ products & services.
To finish in the top 5 or better in the championship points in 2001.
Run the full schedule, April through September including the special event races at Lorain County and Sandusky at the end of the season.

Where the sponsorship money goes

The rebuilding and maintenance costs for 1 year is approximately $5,500 - $7,000.
Tires - $82.00 each, they use 2 sets per year if none get cut or damaged in any way.
Pit pass’s are $20.00 every Saturday night for approximately 24 weeks.
Engine refreshing after the season is approximately $1,200.
Chassis repair and new paint is approximately $750.00 - $1,100.
Fuel costs is approximately $500.00 per season.
Towing costs (Fuel and Maintenance) per season is approximately $300.00 - $500.00 for the season.
Any money They collect from sponsors goes directly towards these expenses. Receipts will be gladly furnished upon request.

What you get when you become involved in an
effective motorsports marketing program.

Your logos are prominently displayed so as to guarantee you exposure on any cable telecasts, videos sold at the track as well as in print. This exposure will also carry through into the community as the team has no enclosed trailer. The car will be viewable to and from the track as well as any promotional events such as malls or schools.
Your product / service will get repeat exposure in the media as the team has flyers to distribute at the track or any other promotional event.
You may also receive opportunities to entertain your clients at track side hospitality areas, arrange VIP treatment for your social guests, take your guests on private tours of the pit area and schedule autograph signing with the driver.
You’ll receive the additional benefits of team building with in your organization as your staff follows the car and the drivers progress.
Plus we can help you get creative with television, radio and print advertising campaigns as well as couponing and consumer contests.

How much does motorsports marketing cost?

J&M Racing has 5 types of sponsorship opportunities that are available. They include, Primary Sponsorship, Secondary Sponsorship, Associate A and B Sponsorship and Product Sponsors.

* Prices for each option are as follows*

Primary Sponsorship; $1,100
Secondary Sponsorship; $800
Associate A Sponsorship; $600
Associate B Sponsorship; $400
Product Sponsorship; Product exchange for advertising space.

Primary Sponsor:
Company name and logo on either hood of the car OR both rear quarter panels.
2 personal appearances** by the car and driver at your place of business or any other location of your choice. Example, company picnics, school promotions etc.
1 10x13 framed photograph of the car signed by the driver ready for hanging.
A full page add on our web site and a link to your website if one is available. Also a full page add in the flyers they hand out.
2 race day pass’s for two people good for any two Saturdays during the 2002 season.

Secondary Sponsor:
Company name and logo on either the entire trunk OR on the front half of the doors on each side.
1 personal appearance** by the car and driver at your place of business or any other location as listed above.
1 8x10 framed photograph of the car signed by the driver.
A half page add on our website and a link to yours if available. Also a half page on the flyers.
1 race day pass for two people, good for any Saturday during the 2002 season.

Associate A and B Sponsor:
Company name inside an approximate 15x9 inch area on both sides of the car.
1 5x7 photograph of the car signed by the driver.
A quarter page add in our flyers.

Company name inside an approximate 15x9 inch area on one side of the car. You pick which side.
1 5x7 photograph of the car signed by the driver.
A quarter page add in our flyers.

Product Sponsor:
By supplying the J&M Racing team with a product for the 2001 racing season, your place of businesses name will be placed in an approximate 12x6 area on any available space on the car.
1 5x7 photograph of the car signed by the driver.
A business card size add in our flyers.
Such products can include an automotive product such as spark plugs, fuel, oil, filters etc. Or food products such as soft drinks, pizza, sandwiches for the team on race days. Or any other product available can and will be accepted.

J&M Racing is flexible on the asking prices of their sponsorship program.
All sponsor money, products and services are appreciated and business does come from this name / logo recognition. Prices will be good for one entire season. All names and logos are made from high quality vinyl produced at a state of the art sign shop.
