Junior leadership School (JLS)

Description: School is designed to help Junior Young Marines develop their The Young Marines Senior Leadership interpersonal and leadership skills. Instruction includes in depth discussion on the definition of leadership, leadership principles and traits, introduction to the Marine Corps troop leading steps, conduct of close order drill and unit physical training. The school’s goal is to prepare the Junior Young Marines for leadership positions in their units, schools, and communities.

PREREQUISITE:

Age: 11 years
Rank: Corporal
Age: 13 years
Rank: Lance Corporal

COST:

Make payable to: Wildwood Young Marines. Personal Checks are authorized. If the young Marine is selected for this activity, the application fee is non-refundable.

Complete the Application Form and Hold Harmless Agreement.
Turn in the completed forms and application fee to the Adjutant’s office.

DEADLINE:

The application must be completed and turned in to the Adjutant no later than February 15. Late applications may be returned without action.

EQUIPMENT:

The equipment list is not provided on this website.

ADULT STAFF:

Four female and six male adult Young Marine Staff members are required.
Complete Adult Application Form and Hold Harmless Agreement and submit no later than February 14.   There is no charge to participating Adult Staff.
