One of the things you encounter when you are involved in the internet is meeting people from around the world. Through WorldsAway, I did just that...and I met the man I love. Of course, I couldn't just fall in love with the "guy next door";...not me...I fell in love with a man from across the ocean, in Sweden. I spent from October 1997 until January 1998 living in Sweden with him, and I not only came to appreciate him more and more but I fell in love with his country. Stockholm was a wonderful, beautiful city. Set on islands surrounded by water, it posesses a charm like no other city I've seen. I am even trying to learn this very beautiful language, even if it does sound suspiciously like a sneeze when they say "sju" (their word for seven). Of course, meeting someone from another land brings its own problems, including those of immigration. For immigration to the United States, you might want to check out some of the following sites: |
