I have been very fortunate to have chosen a biographical subject as reverent as General Jackson and I am grateful for the relationships that I have been blessed with as a result. One that remains close to my heart is that which I share with the United Daughters of the Confederacy. These lovely Southern Belles are among the most knowledgeable and devoted historians that I have ever known. Their unwavering dedication to preserving the history of their ancestors has been awe inspiring to me and it is both an honor and a privilege to have my book included in the Caroline Meriwether Goodlett Library.
