Battlefield Brochures Designed by Michael Aubrecht One of my recent commissions is the design of a multi-fold brochure that will be used as a handout for Lee's Lieutenants' "Meet The Generals." The idea spawned from an event that I participated in called the Gathering of Eagles. Unlike other Civil War reenactments, this exhibition featured a series of public debates and Q&A sessions that were ultimately designed to enlighten all who desire to learn the true causes and effects of the War Between the States. One of the challenges was initiating audience participation. It was later determined that the audience may not have been comfortable asking questions due to their own lack of knowledge on a given character. The goal of this brochure is to remedy that situation and lead to more feedback. Each general will have a short biography highlighting his experiences. There will be 12-14 panels in all and the brochure will fold out like an accordion. Civil War artist John Duke is providing the CSA portrayers' photos.
