
The meeting was called to order by President Michael Daly with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for deceased members.
Marie Lewis read the Treasurer’s report and a motion to accept the report was made, seconded and approved. Marie advised that one should put his/her first and last names on the back of any bills they might have and she would reimburse them.
Michael announced that when there is inclement weather we should go to the website, call the center, or call him to see if we are going to have a meeting.
Michael announced that there was an error listing the date for the November meeting as November 16th, but the correct date is November 17th.
Michael also asked if anyone had any information about any of our retirees. Rose Biscardi announced that Rose Manganelli had passed away.
Michael reported that we now have had 19,200 visitors to our website. We have added 15 new members to our organization and our membership is now 357. Michael added that Joan O’Grady puts out a newsletter and that she contributes a great deal to the organization.
Michael asked if there were any new members at the meeting to please stand up and introduce themselves. Maureen Richards, a speech therapist, and Stephanie Van Denburg, a librarian, announced that they were new members to our organization. Maureen asked if we back any particular political candidate and Michael told her we do not as we represent many different opinion
We will be holding our holiday luncheon on December 6th at the Watermill Inn. Anne Bedard asked anyone who could donate something for the auction to bring it to the next meeting or she would even take items at the luncheon. She also is in need of baskets, especially mid size, but all sizes will be accepted. Anne gave her telephone number and advised that if you have any questions to please call her.
