Regular Meeting – March 24, 2011
Michael opened the meeting with the Pledge and a moment of silence for our deceased members.
Michael asked if all agreed that our Medicare reimbursement was still OK and all agreed that it was.
No treasure's report because Marie Lewis, our new treasurer was absent.
Michael had Joan O'Grady read the names of the Board of Trustees and the names of the Finance Committee. All were asked if asked if they would like to continue 2000 -2011. Carol Kirschner declined. All others accepted.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Eileen Budney, Ruth Greenberg, Rose Biscardi.
FINANCE COMMITTEE: Marilyn Vecchio, Eileen Budney, Dorothy Auer, Marie Lewis; chaired by Joan O'Grady, Financial Secretary.
Joan O’Grady reported that Peg Ottinger, Tom Harkin and Anne Hoffmann; had all recently passed away.
Michael announced our members totaled 370 and Joan added that we have received approx 20 additional members totaling approx. 390.
Having dance music at our luncheons was addressed once again. Will take vote at luncheon in June.
Michael Tangel spoke to us about the Old Timers Game and the history of this Baseball Club. The game is to be held at the Smithtown Historical Society Field on Route 25 just west of St. Patrick’s Church and before the Smithtown Library on May 21, 2011 at 11 am. All are welcomed free and flyer will go out in late April. Grilled hot dogs and soda will be served.
We had a light lunch of Pizza and soda.
A motion to end the meeting was made, seconded and approved.
