NEWS FROM HOME: September, 2007
Where everyday is Friday.

Summer's come and gone and we start another school year. The summer here on Long Island was not a very hot one but we did have some days close to 100 and very humid. Fall starts one of the nicest seasons. Hopefully this letter finds everyone happy and healthy. Keep in touch.
Remember to STAY IN TOUCH and please send us any changes of address.… Our regular meeting place will be changing this October. We have arranged with the Town of Brookhaven to use their new facility on 25A in Mount Sinai – it is on Route 25A at the northern end of Route 83 or Patchogue/Mount Sinai Road or North Ocean Ave. The new center is named after Rose Caracappa and will open sometime this fall. We will be one of their newest guests and are being invited to their grand opening. Stay tuned for more news about this
…They have also asked if any of our members would be willing to share their experiences in MCCSD and act as a volunteer at the center. This would be a great way to keep active and still stay in touch. There will not be a September. meeting this year; the center may not be open by then. meeting dates are October 23; November 27; March. 25; April 22; and May 27. Mark your calendar.
… Our membership applications are coming in quite nicely and some members have written little anecdotes on the form which I would like to share with you now.
