 What is Ving Tsun?

Ving Tsun is a form of Chinese Kung Fu. It was developed by a nun for self defense and fitness.

Why Should I study Ving Tsun?

Ving Tsun is a complete martial art system, promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Students train and learn physical, spiritual, emotional and social fitness skills that improve the quality of life.

What will I learn at the Academy?

Beginning students will learn the basic Ving Tsun movements, a beginners' workout as well as the fundamental philosophy of Ving Tsun fighting. More advanced students will practice Chi Sau, spar and practice the Ving Tsun forms.

What is a Christian, Ving Tsun lifestyle?

Within most martial arts, spirituality is taught along with martial techniques. This ensures that students are taught the responsibilities of being good people as well as good fighters. Sifu Mark Messare teaches the Christian faith in monthly Christian cassette tapes. He also holds periodic seminars and healing services to teach the Christian principles to interested students. Sifu Messare believes that Jesus is the only way(tao) and true light(enlightenment) that never fails. Sifu Mark is not partial to denominational affiliations, but instead fellowships wherever the truth is taught. Simply, that Jesus Christ is the only SON of GOD equal to god, that he became a man, led a sinless life, died, rose again, and will come someday to judge the living and the dead. Churches or martial arts schools who would like him to speak at a seminar should email him.
